This review is based solely on the restaurant. I did not stay at the hotel so I will not comment on that. I found this restaurant by accident when speaking to a local business person. I would like to make a suggestion. Please create a separate area to have reviews to be posted. The food and service at the restaurant here is Hearst's best secret. In my not so humbled opinion, this is the only place to eat when in Hearst. I have been to almost every plave here and have been greatly disappointed. The food is quality, tasty and ample in portion sizes. I had the appetizer wings that were tasty. For the main course I had the burger steak with mashed potatoes, onions, gravy and mushrooms. Yummy and quality. The atmosphere here is very friendly, warm, accommodating and modern. The staff are very patient, kind, efficient and warm. I am very impressed. Way to go ladies 6 ******

I’ve stayed in countless hotels during my travels, but this one takes the cake for the most bizarre and worst experience ever! Admittedly, I shouldn’t have been too picky given its price range—I only booked it on a whim because I was utterly exhausted from driving. Still, what happened left me absolutely shocked and furious. When I checked in, I was polite throughout the process: I handed over my ID and got the room key, and for the record, I’d already paid the full room rate online beforehand! The front desk clerk barely spoke any English and told me the system was down, saying I’d need to come back to register again later. I agreed. About twenty minutes later, she called and asked me to return to the front desk. When I got there, she actually tried to take a photo of my credit card—the one with my card number, expiration date, and security code on it! If someone gets hold of all that information, it’s incredibly easy to commit online fraud. No hotel has ever asked me for that kind of information before, so I politely declined and asked her not to take the photo. Then she proceeded to write down my credit card details by hand! When I finally got back to my room, she called yet again, demanding my credit card information, claiming her boss needed it. I refused flat-out and instead went down to pay a cash deposit. But then, at 11:25 PM, she called once more to ask what time we’d be checking out the next morning—she was clearly not letting me get any rest! How could such ridiculous behavior even happen? Is the hotel owner trying to steal customers’ personal information to misuse after they leave? I highly suspect their motives! I will be contacting my bank immediately, sharing this horrific experience on social media, and reporting this inappropriate conduct to the police. This hotel must realize that their service and behavior are completely unacceptable and way over the line! I don’t even want to talk about the terrible breakfast, the weird smell in the room, and the extremely loud heater that kept me up all night.

Rooms were clean and easy to access. The pool and the sauna are a nice touch, especially up in an area with not much to offer. Spent a lot of time at the pool and sauna. The stay was quiet. It seemed like it was mostly people travelling solo for work stayed here.

Pool isn’t heated, there is no hot tub, front desk staff can’t communicate in basic English. I asked simple questions like how much is laundry? I was told no charge ( it’s $2 to wash and 2 to dry) it’s also on the 2nd floor and I was given a hand gesture of down the hall when asking location. Room is nice, but wasn’t worth the price when it didn’t have correct amenities as advertised. A photo from a month ago shows a hot tub now that area is pool furniture.
