Pros: hotel was recently renovated so everything was clean and painted. Rooms were clean. Cons: no amenities at all. No coffee machine, no clothes iron, no free shampoo/ conditioner, no fridge. Stuff that most hotels have. They did have hand soap I guess

Pro: The staff was polite and efficient. Con: The room was "Motel 6 clean". There were scuffs on the walls, drip marks on the fridge door, and the doors to the room and the bathroom looked like they had been in a flood. When I opened the door it smelled heavily like incense. Fortunately I was able to turn the hvac fan on constant instead of auto and it eventually cleared out. The biggest problem was the bed felt like it was made of bricks with a thin layer of foam on top. I woke up in pain every morning. No more Motel 6.

This motel is the worst place to stay in Caseyville, Illinois. I was quoted a price when I made the reservation; however, when checking in the price change. I showed them the reservation email but they couldn't honor that price. The lady at the front desk stated that the man who gave me the cheaper price was no longer working there and left the day before my arrival. The rooms are horrible there was no blanket on the bed, so when my husband asked for one they stated they didn't have anymore blankets. Fortunately, we were traveling a long way and I had blankets in my vehicle. The phone in the room didn't work, the toliet was severely stained and didn't want to flush, my husband and I nearly slipped and fell in that slippery bath tub, which would a horrible disaster. We had a two night stay, so the next day no one cleaned our room or refreshed our towels. Again, my husband went to the front desk to ask for clean towels and cups. I would not recommend this facility until some changes with staffing and updates are made to this outdated hotel.

AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE! I know that sounds dramatic, but if you’re looking for a cheap, yet safe place to stay for the night like I was, then find a different place, because Motel 6 is not that. 3 rooms were booked directly with Motel 6 for a 1-night stay. We didn’t realize it at the time, but we were charged more than the advertised price on the website. We arrived 2 hours before check-in time and decided to see if the room was ready. We pulled up, and the online photographs must be photoshopped. Almost all the vehicles in the parking lot had windows broken out, or some form of damage. A group of people were blocking the front door smoking cigarettes and they stared my family down as we entered to inquire about checking in. Inside, a seemingly homeless person was ogling us the entire time we were in the lobby. We asked about checking in, and were told that the rooms were ready, but they’d need to charge us an extra $50/room to check in early, which is ridiculous since the rooms were ready. Upon further time in the hotel, it was clear that their safety rating should be zero. After leaving we knew there was no way we’d park a newer car in the lot overnight, and were fearful of being there after dark. We called the hotel to cancel and were told that we booked through a 3rd party, and could not cancel. Although we did not book through a 3rd party and had the receipt to prove it, they would not refund the money. We tried calling Motel 6 corporate and got nowhere, and even the 3rd party said we did not book through them. Essentially, we preferred our safety and comfort over the lost money that these crooks took from us. They actually defended the “tenants” that LIVE at the hotel, and said that the “residents” did nothing wrong, while leering at guests, making them feel uncomfortable.
