Customer experiences

Colby and his team are very professional, diligent and patient. It took us nearly 6 months to find and secure the necessary coverage for my manufacturing company. They worked with all their partners to secure the very best coverage I could get for a competitive price. I am very pleased with my experience and feel that I am in a good place moving forward.

When we first became customers the service was amazing and speaking to our agent was the norm. Years later and the retirement of the original owner the service has gone down hill! We don’t even know who our agent is. The only people we are ever allowed to speak to are their secretaries. A lot of the time they don’t know what they are doing, are rude and seem put out when you call to make changes or ask questions. They always spell something incorrectly on our policies and when we call to fix it they are annoyed. Most of the time they refer us to the company who the policy is through and give zero help or guidance. We have struggled for a few years with them and are moving our policies asap.

I cannot sing Stratford's praises enough! They are incredibly responsive and have accommodated my last minute changes with a friendly smile and promptness every time. I love this company and its employees. Customer service is 10 out of 10!!!

If what you do for your business is fairly common, like running a florist shop or gym, you’ll probably do okay with this broker. They’re friendly and responsive enough. But if your business is unique in any way, I strongly advise you to find a broker who is willing to do more than just the bare minimum of service. The agents at Stratford Insurance Group, like so many other insurance brokers, have built a company culture where they are more interested in profits than in looking out for what’s best for your company. Their brokers will NOT put in any extra effort to research classification codes to make sure you are getting the right coverage at the least expense. They will NOT be on your side when you have to go up against an auditor and challenge their findings. In their own words, “That’s not my job”. By acting as my own advocate, I was able to save our company thousands of dollars a year in Workers Compensation. But my point is, why was it only ME putting in so much effort to make sure my employees were being classified correctly? Where was my agent? IMO, the insurance agent should act as an intermediary between the company and the insurance carrier, representing the CLIENT'S best interests. That’s not what happened here.
