Customer experiences
COMFORT, CONCERN, COMMUNICATION WAS GIVEN TO ME CONCERNING MY INDIVIDUAL CASE. THE SURGEON HAD ALL INFORMATION NECESSARY "BEFORE" I ARRIVED. REVIEW OF MY PHYSICAL NEED AND SITUATION WAS EXCELLENT!
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Barreto and the wonderful staff at St. Luke's OMS. I was seen today on an emergency basis after visiting St. Luke's emergency department late last night. I was in pure agony from exposed nerves in several teeth. Nothing that I tried or was prescribed helped with the pain, and the only way to relieve my pain was to have my teeth surgically removed. I called the office and explained my situation to them while crying and in pain. The lady at the front desk put me on hold and when she returned she asked if I could come in right away and that Dr Barreto would make time to see me even so she was fully booked. I was so thankful and still am. Dr. Barreto is wonderful, caring, compassionate, professional, good bedside manners, and has a great sense of humor. Even though I was an excruciating pain, she made me laugh to take my mind off of what was actually going on. The staff were fantastic as well! I have nothing but good things to say about OMS. Thank you, ladies, for everything that you did for me today, squeezing me into your tight, packed schedule and attending to my needs right away. I definitely would and will recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great oral surgeon. Thanks a million!
I went to my dentist back in March, and they recommended St. Luke's to remove my wisdom teeth. I called to schedule the appointment after that visit. They told me I wasn't able to get in until the end of August. I was fine with waiting and planned my medical leave for the rest of the week after surgery. I had my ride take me to the appointment fully expecting surgery to take place. They take me in and do X-rays. My dentist already had X-rays on file that could have easily been sent over. The doctor takes a look at my teeth, tells me they are starting to impact my molars and are starting to cause cavities. After this, he wants to schedule the surgery for November. When I asked why the surgery wasn't happening that day, he tells me that they don't do surgeries that late in the day. Maybe I wouldn't have cavities forming if they didn't schedule a 5 min consultation appointment 5 months out. I will definitely be going to another orthopedic surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed. This was nothing but a money making scam by St. Luke's.
Had a $28,000 procedure done November 1, 2023. The surgeon and surgical staff were absolutely wonderful. I had to pay everything up front before my surgery, which I did, in cash. They said they would file all the necessary insurance forms so I could get some of my money back. It took them almost two months to file the forms. They neglected to tell the insurance company that the bill was paid in full and to send the reimbursement to me. On January 9, 2024 the insurance company sent them an almost $2,000 check. They said they never received it. I can understand that, but, they are unwilling to help me get this resolved. I am forwarded to a voicemail where my call never, ever gets returned. The insurance company called them, they never returned those calls. Here I am, just about 4 months down the road and nothing is happening. Was really hoping I would see that $2,000. I"m at a loss what to do. UPDATE: 6 months later and still waiting for checks from them. Last time I got someone to actually speak with, around a month ago. She said she will not send in a request for a new check to be sent and that there is nothing else they can do. I "just have to wait and see what happens". Lazy, entitled workers.
