Food was Fantastic!! Absolutely delicious, hearty, tasted like Christmas and everything warm wintery right in the middle of Alameda. Tasty, flavorful, delicious 😋 Beer and beer selection is amazing. Ambiance feels like home in a friendly mountain village. Service is friendly and on point with everything. Everything is spectacular about this place. Meat, potatoes and Beer! Desserts are homemade and over the top delicious.

Came to Speisekammer on a Saturday night for the Krampus St. Nick evening. At first, they said they couldn't accommodate our party of 6 even though we had called more than once to discuss the rain and no outdoor seating (to make sure they could take us before we came from San Jose). After about 15 minutes of waiting, they figured it out and sat us in the back. It was the first time for many of us and we were sooooo pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh, and nothing was greasy. The portions are humongous, but they are also pricey, so don't expect a cheap meal. I was very happy to see multiple vegetarian options and enjoyed everything we ordered. The meat eaters really enjoyed it and had that look on their face when they were chewing. 😊 The potato pancakes are AMAZING! The pretzels and beer cheese are amazing! The vegetable trio is cooked perfectly and has a great flavor. The chicken schnitzel is breast meat that's crispy, moist, and not oily at all. My friend got the smoked pork shank and was in total heaven. We will absolutely be back as it was great for all! The only drawback is the noise. It's a very loud environment and makes it a scootch difficult for hearing aid wearers. The staff is very nice and all of the orders came out correctly. Yum yum...

First time eating German food. It was a great experience. Everything we tried was good and very filling. My favorite thing was the salmon salad dish.

Clean and inviting. Large portions of authentic and delicious food. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend. Don't park in the parking lot as it's really crazy to get out of.
