Customer experiences
An outstanding luxury resort. However, 2 things to be aware of: 1) Limited food options. The small take-away food shop closed early at 2 pm. It had a large selection of fancy chocolates -- but no basics like protein bars for hiking, and only 2 (prepackaged) sandwich options (egg, tuna) for lunch. They ran out of breakfast sandwiches by 9 am. The Bourbon & Burgers place offers a special $1800 burger but the same vegetarian options that were offered at lunch. There is nothing else nearby, and Park City is a 10-minute shuttle ride away. So plan ahead. 2) Lack of information about the resort at check-in. No map. No printed info or app for spa/gym or restaurant hours or shuttle schedule. We had to go around and ask. Discovered too late that there was information on the hotel TV channel about recreation options. A friend discovered after they checked out that the sauna, hot tub, and pool were free.
Arrived for a long weekend with work associates. Had high expectations about this place based on reviews. Plenty of workers out front to unload bags and valet the car. Were given a room on 7th floor. Took elevator to 7 and the rooms started at 760 or so. Rooms in our range nowhere to be found.||Returned to front desk (level 5) who told us "oh you have a room on the low side". We had to take elevator to 6, walk the length of the hotel then take an elevator from 6 to 7. ||Totally crazy and we had to retrace that route any time we needed to go somewhere. Bellman dropped off the bags and I opened the curtains and actually laughed.... we had an amazing view of a dirt hill without even landscaping. (See photo). ||We pulled the sheets down and saw either a blood stain or a dark dirt stain about the size of a nickel. Told front desk, which promised to replace the sheets (they did). Prices here are moderately insane ( bought a can of coke in the lobby and it was $7.74)||Water was provided. While out sightseeing I asked the hotel to put a couple of soft drinks in the refrigerator... when we arrived back they were not there despite confirmation. ||Wife took a shower and water flowed all the way to the front foyer, using up out towels for that night to stop the flood. ||One side of the bed had no free outlets nor any USBs, a shocking oversight at this price point. The other side had one plug, one USB-C and one USB-B. ||Positive touches were good pillows and humidifier in the room. Common areas were abundant and well-appointed. ||Restaurants and bars were very expensive for food and drink. Live music on 6th floor.
The location is great and the rooms are spotless and well maintained, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The range of amenities, both in room and on site, adds a real touch of convenience and luxury. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make your visit memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect balance of comfort, service, and location.
We had a great experience at the Montage. The resort and its amenities are in great condition, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is a big plus - very easy access to downtown Park City but also a very short drive to plenty of nearby hiking and attractions. The food is high quality and there are several options for meals.
