My wife and I hired RSU Contractors to do an attic conversion on our home in Murfreesboro. From the start, RSU was professional, punctual, and delivered against commitments. One of the owners - Pat Bouton - Personally came to our house a number of times during the estimate, quotation, and design steps and quickly gained our trust. The project manager and site supervisor Jim and David were truly excellent! Jim kept us posted with updates, and they were very often on schedule or ahead of schedule. David was on our job site basically every day work was happening. He would show up 15-30 minutes before any sub-contractors, lay down floor protection, and ensure all the supplies and preps were in place for a productive day of work. Then, at the end of the day, he would tidy up then brief us on what's next before leaving. It was really important to us that the finished product would look like it was always part of our home - the quality of work, detail elements, and RSU met and exceeded expectations here as well. The experience, quality of work, and final result truly exceeded expectations in every way! We did this project to add a bedroom upstairs (converting current bonus room), and add a larger bonus room in our available attic space. This project without a doubt also added value to our home! Check out our before and after pictures. The results speak for themselves. :) We will recommend RSU without reservation to anybody seeking a quality partner for a home renovation of any magnitude!

We hired RSU contractors to do a complete master bath renovation. We are very pleased with the outcome. We found RSU to be very responsive. They gave us a reasonable quote compared with other contractors. Their team was professional and polite and updated us frequently throughout the project. Their work was professional and the best part is they got it done within the original agreed to schedule and under budget. Considerably better than other contractors we've used in past projects. Would definitely recommend RSU. We contracted a second time recently with RSU. This time to do a complete kitchen renovation. Once again we were pleased with the outcome. My wife loves her new kitchen. The quote we received was competitive. The project manager and construction team were professional and the coordinated well with cabinet and flooring installers. The project was completed on schedule and in budget. Would recommend RSU for major home renovation projects.

RSU completed a major remodel of our kitchen in December 2018. The project lasted about 10 weeks, which is what they quoted, and we are very pleased. We worked with Melissa Plank (designer), Steve (draftsman), Jim and Chuck (Project Manager). They were all great to work with. We had a somewhat awkwardly-designed kitchen - I think Melissa called it a puzzle! - but she and Steve came up with a great design that has really opened up the space and created great flow and usability. It involved moving basically everything - sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, pantry, a wall. We had to close in a door to our butler's pantry to make it work, and I think it is the most functional setup that we could have hoped for. We worked with Melissa to pick out most of our finishings, save the appliances, which we got from Cenwood. We were very happy with the communication as well as the way everyone took care of our home during the project. They hung plastic sheeting to keep the dust levels down, and laid paper and materials on the floor to reduce tracking stuff inside the house. We worked through any issues that came up, and they were very flexible in determining solutions. The only overages we had were completely our decision - one was fixing some drywall tape higher up in the sitting room adjacent to the kitchen, and then our kitchen cabinets. We also finished in the timeframe we originally discussed. We are so happy with the space and highly recommend working with RSU - we'd certainly work with them again in the future!

We had our kitchen remodeled from October - December 2016. Our construction project was supposed to last about 6 weeks (it took 10 weeks.) We made some initial changes to the quoted job that added additional work. The remodel consisted of removing and rearranging cabinets, the stove, microwave, adding new counter tops, adding walls and extending walls, removing a corner pantry and converting a hallway and closet into a new pantry, opening a wall up between the kitchen and living room, adding a hall shelf, adding lighting, repairing our wood floors, and adding columns to the kitchen. Our contractor was pleasant and easy to work with, especially when issues arose. He offered suggestions as we went along and was always willing to try our ideas. Some things did not turn out as well as we had hoped, including: Some of the trim doesn't always match up as well as it could. The hardwood floor repair squeaks now. We also now have one counter top higher than the other one because they did not remove the existing floor underneath. We had some issues with the granite installation, but RSU worked to resolve the issues until we were satisfied.
