Customer experiences
It was okay, but I expected a lot more based on the website and their marketing of the hotel, and felt they could have been more truthful when showing what was available. I'll start with the good things - beds were comfortable and soft, rooms large, pool and hot tub spa were pleasant. All of the staff we encountered were polite and professional. It is very close (down the street from one) to outdoor recreation areas which was great - little niagra is just 5 minutes away. Now the not so good - room was ridiculously humid and it felt moist in our room the entire time. We woke to condensation on items in our room. The rooms while large and not disgusting, did seem like they needed a good cleaning. Not lid on the toilet which grosses me out but maybe thats just me. Clump of hair in the bottom of the shower. The casino is okay, decent machines and a bar, but you will not win. The most disappointing part was that when we booked we expected to have options in the hotel for dining, however the lounge and the café were both closed the entire time, and the spa was being remodeled. So we had one dining option, the Springs, and it was not great- food was bland and the drinks were awful made by the waiter. Think an old fashioned thats red colored with sugar at the bottom and tasted sweeter than a mixed drink. Maybe we came at a bad time, but we were not very impressed with our stay, especially with the pricing of the rooms. They should really offer discounts if the facility is not offering everything they say they are on their booking site. Nothing was mentioned about these amenities being closed on booking or check in. This is what upset us the most. Overall with this experience, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this hotel for anything longer than a one night stay.
Pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Artesian for my birthday weekend. Room was nice and spacious and the service from the staff was excellent. The restaurant on-site was also really solid, even better than we were anticipating. Is a great option for a little weekend getaway or a staycation.
This place needs to give more incentives to stay, spend money gambling and shopping at their surrounding stores! The signs state the shops are open! NOT!! Employees are boring. No personalities! Front desk Employees should be giving more discounts on rooms when people are dissatisfied! Our room was immediately next to the elevator. That's all we heard all night! A constant loud motor running. The room was over $200! The view was the roof of the lower level. The king-size bed and pillows were very luxurious and comfortable! The shower was great except for the metal thing sticking out of the glass shower wall! The piano player was awesome! We enjoyed the pool and the huge hot tub...
Nice hotel, some staff were really friendly (in the restaurant & check out) some staff not so (check-in). Couldn’t find the stairs at all! So had to rely on lifts. Room was clean nicely done. Loved the free Bedre Chocolate. Shower was a little hit and miss. The shops underneath have blacked out windows so you have no idea on what they are or if they are open. Food was really nice :)
Sole'renity Spa at The Artesian is a day spa.
