I've lived at The Continental for the past 2 years in a 2BR unit, and it has been a great experience. The location is very central, with most subway lines having stations within a block. Nicole, the leasing manager, was a pleasure to work with. The building staff has been a delight -- friendly and prompt. My unit is beautiful, but its had its issues, as done does any unit in NYC, but the building staff always takes care of them within a day. I highly recommend living at The Continental!

I actually loved most parts abt this building - gigantic bedrooms w/ 3+ double-door closets in the master. The doormen are also the absolute best - always so sweet and helpful! The older maintenance guy is also the sweetest. What makes this building less desirable is indeed the fact that it is an older building - the AC is super loud + the noise cancellation is insanely bad. If the area was quieter, it'd be fine, but this is probably the loudest part of Manhattan, and the sirens + the constant music/performance coming from Greeley Square is just too much. I have to sleep with earplugs on most nights. Also, I feel like they don't really clean the hallways or ever wipe down the public areas (elevator buttons, trash rooms, etc.)... Overall, I think the building would've been almost perfect if these unfortunately not-small issues were fixed.

Lived here for 2 years. Moved out this summer. - Overall good staff. Front desk and most handymen were nice - Super super bad management. The manager Joe was basically doing nothing. Never respond your email. Never talk to you nicely. The typical old white man: ignorant, racist and think he's king of the world. Talking to him make you feel like he's paying you living here. - The building is old In our last 6 months living here, things frequently got broken. - Water leaking in the whole building - No hot water in the middle of cold winter - AC broken in hot summer - One elevator is always broken -.... Avoid this building! With this price, you would have many choices around.
