My husband and I visited for the Happy Hour and, unfortunately, there was not a single thing on the menu without garlic and onions, which he's allergic to. We're used to having limited options for him, but we've never been to a restaurant where nothing, not even the sushi, is edible for him. That lessened the experience as we'd been really excited about eating here. However, our waitress was AMAZING. She was knowledgeable about ingredients, checked everything that, honestly, should have been free of onions and garlic and discovered he couldn't order any it. She was so diligent. In the end, my husband ordered a (tiny bowl of) bland mac 'n cheese which the cook "custom made" for $11. š And some fries. That was a bust. My husband insisted I order from the menu because he was taking me for a date and didn't want me to be disappointed. My food was good. And extra points for presentation. The real stars here are the cocktails (the bartender is talented!) and the gorgeous restaurant. The views are stunning. I wish I could give 3.5ā.
For $100+ per person, our bill was $194 not including tips yet, even though we were not happy - we still gave a $26 tip. And never come back. We were here tonight 4/12/25 res 7pm to celebrate a birthday and we left a note when we made the reservation (donāt bother, no one acknowledged it here unlike other restaurants). Weāre locals not tourists, and FYI in the Bay Area, there are MANY good to great restaurants to choose from with good food and service, especially for a $200+ dinner for 2. Start to finish our honest review based on our experience and yes we dine out weekly. 1) The lady (hostess) is not friendly or welcoming at all. 2) We had to ASK for the littlest things (table bread came after our appetizer when we asked for it, our water glasses were EMPTY and only refilled after we asked for it and he wasnāt too happy like we waved him down for water?! 3) Do not order their The Unveiling āshowstopper cocktailā $34 for 2 was not impressive at all. Nothing to see there. 4) The food!? The Ora King salmon was not worth the price because we couldnāt taste the difference from the regular salmon. The lobster Mac n cheese $20 came out LUKEWARM!? The prime rib was not as tender compared to other restaurants at the same price or even cheaper and with better service. 5) We had to looked for and waved down our waiter every time! One only possible excuse would be this restaurant is understaffed BUT that doesnāt excused the (lack of) not at these 3 dollar signs restaurant. And no the ocean view isnāt worth it. Again there are lots of other places to spend your hard earned money. 6) When we asked for to go boxes, the waiter didnāt bring a bag for 2 boxes lol really $200+ bill and not even a bag!? Oh we had to take our mac n cheese and half of the prime rib home because lukewarm dishes got too cold to eat fast. 7) The lady who delivered our entrees wow she spoke 2 words, the entrees - not friendly at all. Soā¦.the view of the water is NOT worth the prices and poor services from start to finish. Pictures do not show our experience, the only good dish was the $27 for 6 oysters appetizer and even that we have better elsewhere for better service at lower prices.
I have visited this restaurant several times, and the quality of the food remains consistently excellent. I have tried a variety of dishes, including appetizers and desserts, all of which are fresh and flavorful. I always enjoy my meals while taking in the beautiful sunsets. The staff is professional, attentive, and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.
Loved our birthday celebration for my husband. We came for the first time due to a friend's recommendation for the view. We love the bourbon st. carrot cake and the creme brulee. I had the lobster bisque and my husband had the clam chowder. We both had the salmon from New Zealand. Our server, Mark, was so hospitalable and gracious. Will gladly return.
