We visited for lunch over a weekend. It wasn't too crowded. The service could have been better as asked for the table to be wiped down after previous diners plates removed and it was only wiped over about 75% and very quickly so not thoroughly. We also asked for a bottle of table water whilst we looked over the menu (it was a hot day and we had been walking). The bearded man said' absolutely and wasn't seen again until he was spotted eating at a table with two pretty girls 🤔... The place definitely needs a makeover, especially the men's toilets and the bar stool chairs are very uncomfortable after 30 minutes... But the food was very good and a lovely outlook over the river. There are lots of nice boats to spot.
We thought we'd have a lovely sunset dinner at Surfers Pavilion. The weather was good and the views for the sunset from the Pavilion are great. The staff was very disorganised that afternoon. The table QR code ordering app didn't work which suits me as I usually prefer to order at the counter over having to enter loads of details to pay over the phone. Staff at the food order counter was not even reacting to me waiting there to place an order. After I asked whether I could place an order he then finally showed his "great motivation" to do his job. The guys at the bar were friendly and beer is beer - not much can go wrong there. I had the beef burger which was below average. Besides the food already not being front desk lady placed a Reserved sign for 7pm on the table - it was 6.45pm. So we had 15 minutes to finish our meal. When she came around a second time we told her that we're not done and asked why we're being asked to leave. She responded that we're more than welcome to have a look around and find another table to sit - thank you very much... we won't come back.
Went for a late breakfast today. Great vibe with music playing, a lovely view, and a great layout with an outdoor breeze coming through. Had the corn fritters with avocado salsa and keto breakfast. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Walked away with very full bellies. Staff were all so welcoming. Thank you so much.
