A casual lunch stop that turned out to be a great find. Great pub vibe with plenty of food and drink options to choose from. I went with the Grilled Chicken Club on a gluten-free bun — super juicy and full of flavour, and the bun was actually soft (rare, and much appreciated!), with the Scran Salad…perfect. My son had the Fish & Chips and gave it a big thumbs up. Shout-out to our server, Abby, who was friendly and super helpful as we sorted through the menu.

Off to a Stratford play today and all the Stratford restaurants were full. Turned out to be our lucky day, as 20 min away is Scran & Dram. Riley was a super attentive server. The wings with med buffalo sauce were perfectly done. We shared an amazing Cobb salad with 2 scotch egg halves, and the brisket on a bun. I asked for a side of their house gravy (Guiness & onions I think) and it paired perfectly with the fries! My Mule drink (not Moscow mule because it was made with whiskey) was delicious. Oh and we shared a sticky toffee pudding, not sure how we found room, but it was perfectly warm and sweet.

Food was very good and a nice atmosphere. I would say the price was a little steep for similar places, but they claim everything is locally sourced so that's an A+.

Scran & Dram in New Hamburg offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with a unique Scottish twist. I’ve tried both dine-in and take-out, and overall, the experience has been decent. The food is hearty and flavourful — classic pub fare with a bit of character — and the portions are generous. Service has always been friendly, and the cozy vibe makes it a nice spot to relax. While everything was good, it wasn’t perfect — a few small things could be improved to elevate the experience. Still, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something different in town.
