I met with Administration and asked some hard questions and the responses were "I can't tell you that - it's a ministry of education rule". How frustrating. We are supposed to be working TOGETHER to shape the minds of our future. We were seeking online for our child due to extreme bullying in a physical school setting. Why can't I review curriculum before I enroll my child? Why all the gatekeeping? I did express my concerns respectfully about not being provided with direct answers and how that felt like control. I was told at the end of the meeting if we decided to join we would be fully supported to meet my child's needs. When I reached out about enrollment and to discuss and confirm modified workload as we previously discussed, the administrator (the individual I had face to face conversations with) did not return my communication - I know they received it, and they had their administrative assistant passively interact with me. That's enough for me to know my child is not safe in that environment and it's not for our family. We want to learn where respectful conversations can be had even if we don't agree, where things can be questioned and where futures can be shaped as a team.

We have been enrolled in this school for 5 years and will finish our high school education with Flex ed. The set up is fabulous, the teachers are online for lecture every morning on their subject of the day, you can watch the recording if something came up or to review the information. If you need help, an appointment with teacher is easy to set up or pop into homework help session. Great extracurricular offered, and awesome to see grades live. I would recommend to anyone that has a disciplined child to sit down and school. As a parent, I am a mentor and help my child but the school teaches and educates. Love Flex ED!

I have nothing bad to say about most of my previous teachers but would it kill whoever makes the lessons to update them once in a while? a lot of the information is horrendously outdated and in some cases the instructions don't even match what you're told to do in the assignments. also if you're taking high school math be prepared to watch countless youtube tutorials and probably cry.

My son has attended Flexed school for most of his high school years. He just recently graduated in 2023. I would highly recommend Flexed to any family. The support is there from all of the staff and the teachers are awesome. They will respond to your questions or if you are seeking help within 24 hours. They are there if the parents are wanting any information as well. If your family is considering online schooling, Flexed would be the school to go with. The support and help was there for our family.
