Customer experiences
We’ve stayed here twice and both times were good experiences. The staff here are friendly and very helpful. I liked the vinyl floors because you could tell they were clean unlike carpeting. Also they didn’t have a comforter type cover on the bed. They had sheets and a blanket. Hotel / motel comforters aren’t cleaned all the time and you could tell the bedding was very clean and fresh. There are several restaurants within an easy walk for breakfast and dinner. This place is also great if you have pets as it’s hard to find places that can accommodate a large dog. Highly recommend.
Wonderful people to work with. Morning coffee is always hot. Rooms are always very clean. If you need something just ask. They will get it for you.
Great location with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room appeared to be recently renovated and was very clean. There was also vinyl flooring instead a carpet which is a plus in my opinion. Staff was always friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, my stay was far from pleasant. I was on a business trip for two nights and encountered a deeply unsettling situation. The guest in the room next to mine was in a severely unstable mental state and appeared to be a danger to himself. Another individual was present, seemingly trying to intervene and escort him to a more stable environment—but without success. Despite contacting the front desk, I was told the guest should have been discharged, yet he remained. Eventually, in the early hours of the morning, he left—only to return the following day, deceiving the next staff member into letting him back in. The disruptive behavior continued for a second night. Over the course of three days and two nights, I managed only five hours of sleep. By the time law enforcement arrived, I was already preparing to leave. I reported the situation to hotel management and requested at least one night’s refund given the extreme disturbance, but was only offered a $20 credit—despite paying over $200 for the stay. I have photos, reports, and license plate details to corroborate my experience. To be clear, this is not a reflection on the individual hotel owners but rather on the corporate management, whose response was inadequate. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location.
Sandy Neck Motel is a hotel.
