This was my first visit to OS Salon in Bloomington. Rachel was my stylist. She was very professional and she clearly was knowledgeable with the task at hand. She did a bit of preliminary cutting after discussing what I would like (brought some photos). Then, a wash and lovely, warm head towel followed. She then finished up with more cutting, drying, and styling. I really loved my new layered bob. The salon is small and quiet which I really like! Rachel is great at what she does and I plan on returning to her for future hair styling.

Nina took her time and seemed very interested in getting it right. I think she should have given me a mirror while turning the chair to show me what it looked like from behind. I think she could have taken more time to explain what she did and why. Overall she did a nice job but I did have my husband trim a little off the left side as it was longer than the right side on the back. I think the saloon needs better lighting as it was difficult to see the layers she cut since I have very dark hair.

I have been to OS Salon twice now and have been very happy both times. On my first visit, I felt that Sarah really listened to what I wanted done, and she carried out my wishes on everything. This meant so much to me, as I have been trying to find a stylist that actually did what I asked for too many months to count. Getting my hair washed was my favorite part; I loved the head massage (and thought it would be great on a day that I have a migraine!) The entire staff was so helpful and cheerful! I look forward to my next visit!

I unfortunately had a very poor experience that left my hair over processed, damaged, with lines everywhere. The “experienced stylist” rushed high lightening my hair. Then she over booked and was too busy with her other client. She didn’t even check on my hair until she could see I was getting upset. Leaving my hair to process for OVER an hour on my roots. Then I was left again, to wait at the hair washing station for another 25 minutes. My hair didn't even get completely washed, conditioned or toned. Finally by 3:15pm, I told the staff I had to leave for another appointment and still left with wet unfinished hair. On top of that, I still had to pay $140+ and left with this mess of hair. I’ve never had such a poor experience, where you’re basically ignored and have bleach on your head for over an hour without someone checking on it. The stylist only check it because she could see I was getting frustration. The best part is I was sitting right next to her the entire time and not once did she check them until she saw I was frustrated. I shouldn’t have to tell the stylist, “hey can you check these foils”. Especially, when you’re paying over $100 for services, this was completely unacceptable. The manager offered for me to come back for them to fix it, but after such a frustrating, terrible experience who would want to. I asked for a partial refund and they wouldn’t even do that. The photos of my hair clearly show the disaster of this appointment. It was suppose to be a simple partial balayage appointment, turned into terrible service, damaged hair, 90’s tiger stripes that I will have to pay someone else to fix. My advice for this salon stop over booking clients.
