A Heartfelt Moment of Gratitude Over the course of my recent three-day stay, I experienced something that far exceeded my expectations—genuine compassion, excellence, and humanity in one of life’s more vulnerable moments. Hospitals often receive criticism, but my experience was, quite honestly, a gift during a time I truly needed care, both physically and emotionally. From the moment we arrived at the ER, every interaction reflected professionalism and kindness—from the team members who carefully transported me in a wheelchair, to those who ensured my room remained clean and comfortable. Every role was fulfilled with dignity and care. Even members of hospital leadership, including Mandy Petre, made the effort to stop by and check in personally. Whether it was the nurses administering medications, the techs conducting EKGs and oxygen checks, or those drawing labs—all brought a calm presence and clear communication that made a world of difference. If you've ever stayed in a hospital, you understand how overwhelming it can be. But at Rock Regional, it felt different. The culture they’ve built is something truly special—a team that not only performs at a high level but deeply cares for the people they serve. When someone checks in with you every hour, day and night, it goes beyond procedure—it shows heart. To Dr. Womack and the entire Rock Regional Hospital team: please know how profoundly grateful I am. Your commitment and compassion meant more than I can express in words. You are seen, appreciated, and respected—for all you do and for who you are. Thank you. Truly.

I went to the ER at Rock Regional Hospital on 3/17/25. I was a little Leary of going after reading reviews but, I can’t say enough good things about Nurse Cindy. From the moment I arrived at the ER, she was kind, compassionate, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to explain everything clearly, always making sure I was comfortable and informed. Her calm and caring presence made a stressful situation so much easier. Nurse Cindy truly goes above and beyond—she’s a shining example of what great nursing care should be. Dr. Haynes provided truly exceptional care during my ER visit. He was professional yet warm, taking time to thoroughly explain my condition and treatment options. His compassionate approach and clear communication helped ease my anxiety and made me feel respected and well cared for. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines medical expertise with such genuine empathy—Dr. Haynes is one of those rare Doctors

Recently had a knee replacement that kept me overnight. The care and compassion I received was absolutely wonderful. I had 2 young ladies who checked on me several times during the night to make sure I was comfortable and that my ice machine was full. I so appreciated the care and compassion I received. Best hospital I’ve ever been to.

After having a very good experience at the ER a few years ago, I opted to have a surgery there today. I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. The staff are just the best. I even asked my care team today if they like working there. They said they love it. I feel like they were even a bit rushed today, but they all just hustled, but none of them seemed put out or annoyed. I heard them working together as a team. They just collectively hustled, which I appreciate. The facility: The waiting area is nice and airy with great morning light, and even has a coffee bar. I don't know who manages the facility, or how they do it, but their staff are all happy. Tell us your secret, please. I won't go anywhere else. I knew I was going there for surgery and actually looked forward to it. And I have high anxiety. Rest assured, Rock Regional will take excellent care of you.
