I really wanted to be blown away with Roberto’s. Maybe my expectations were too high. We read all about its history and were excited to experience the restaurant. Pros: Hostess was very nice and seated us promptly considering how busy they were. The atmosphere was cozy. It seems well managed from a service perspective. Beyond that our dining experience wasn’t great, but also not the worst. The fried calamari was so salty that we couldn’t eat it. We ordered 2 of the snapper special and were disappointed. The flavors just didn’t make sense together for me. In hind sight, we should have ordered something from their regular menu as first timers. Our adult daughter ordered the Shrimp Roberto which she didn’t like but she did love the sauce in the dish. This was a $200 dinner that didn’t taste worth it for us.

One of the best meals we have had in south Louisiana. Truly a unique and wonderful destination for a fabulous experience and meal. Nice friendly staff serving great food and cocktails in an old open dining room. The food was unbelievably good. I tried the special - Grilled Salmon with lumped crab, Beurre Blanc over linguine. It was on point. The salmon was moist with a nice sear and the pasta was cooked perfectly. And, while they claim to specialize in seafood, my wife enjoyed one of the best steaks we’ve had in the area. Roberto’s has been moved from our “want-to-go”list to now one of our “Favorites”! 😎👍

Catfish was fried perfectly and well seasoned, mash potatoes were nice and creamy, French bread was fresh. Picked up food and it was boxed very professionally.
