Pros: The gym is nice and spacious. It’s the nicest PF in my area. I really like how the gym is set up. It has plenty of room for everyone to exercise without everyone being on top of each other. It has a lot of potential to be a solid gym in our area. Cons: For the 5th time in the last couple months, there is no hot water in the showers. It’s just ice cold. I’ll run it for like 5 mins and it remains cold. Unfortunately, The gym is rarely clean when I get there early in the morning. I hardly ever see anyone cleaning. The men’s bathroom is disgusting. I’ll be heading to another PF. It’s not as nice but at least they do the basics right.

Love coming to this planet fitness it’s so conveniently close to home since I come here twice a day 6 days a week. The new staff is very nice and keep it clean. BUT the fact that machines are always broken and takes them weeks before they repair them is really making me consider switching gyms. My favorite cable machine has been broken for a month and I asked the staff and they have no clue when it will get fixed. The fact that they have one maintenance guy to fix these is ridiculous. I’ve talked to other members and I know I am not the only one that is frustrated with the time it takes them to fix machines.

A few weeks ago the Yorkville, IL location posted a notice that they would be closed for a day to install all new cardio equipment. Well they did, but they did not replace one for one. They removed more than 50% of the cardio machines. There are now maybe 7 elliptical machines, and they're so close together you can barely get between them. They are also frequently all in use. I was told that it was a corporate decision to reduce the cardio machines in favor of spreading out the strength training machines. Maybe there were machines unused before, but at least I was always able to use whichever one I chose without having someone so close that it was unhygienic.

Absolutely horrible customer service. This location has been charging me twice every month for the past several months, I've spoken with a manager and they told me that I have to go to my bank to fix it. The bank can take the charge off every month but ultimately it's up to Planet Fitness to fix the double charge in the system. The manager refused to believe me and refuse to look at my bank statement showing 9 months of double charges from Planet Fitness. It is not my bank's responsibility to go into my Planet Fitness account and fix the mistake that is planet fitnesses fault. And I refuse to have to call my bank once a month to take off the extra charge because Planet Fitness won't take care of their paying customers so I canceled my membership.
