My God mother went to Research and was admitted to room 3001. It was the worst experience ever! They never bathed her and there was BM in a wound. They never changed the bandage. By the way the BM was dried she had sat in it for hours. No dignity. Then the doctor was the absolute worst! He called..CALLED and said her kidneys were shutting down and that “she is very very sick” then ended the call. Not only is that absolutely devastating to hear but no empathy, compassion or course of education just added salt to the wound and was beyond disheartening. The next day the doctor calls and says there is nothing else they can do her for so she was being discharged. Upon arrival she was not dressed, we couldn’t find any staff and when we did…we were given discharge paperwork for another patient. A nurse came and asked to see the paperwork and said it wasn’t hers and had us wait by the elevators. This after we had to wait for over an hour for someone to come answer the call light, they came in turned it off and no one came in to actually assist. Once we made it home, her home health nurse caught that her potassium was low and her bloodwork was off. Something that could’ve been…or should’ve been caught by Research. Now she was rushed to another hospital for them to correct what research didn’t do. I wouldn’t bring my dog it’s disgusting how this hospital treats blacks. It’s obvious by all the negative reviews. Shut this shack DOWN!

I got transferred here around 4-5 pm due to my congenital heart condition and the fact that I was coughing up blood. Once I got in the room they told me I wouldn’t be able to eat because I have to see the cardiovascular doctor that will establish a diet for me or just in case they have to do “general surgery” on me. Which I honestly never heard of. They kept telling me I will see that doctor in the morning. Well morning came around and I never met the cardiovascular doctor so I wasn’t able to eat then the afternoon came around still wasn’t able to eat then around 5/6pm they let me eat. So they starved me for 24hours no reason. They ran three different tests a CAT scan, MRI, and echocardiogram, took blood, and even took the sample of blood I coughed up, but they never told me what was going on. The CAT scan was done a day before still never got the results on that. Never met the cardiovascular doctor. I was just in there getting tests ran on and given pills nobody really explained to me what was going on I honestly felt like they were just running up my hospital bill which I can’t afford to begin with so I ended up just leaving because at that point I just felt like when the cardiovascular doctor has some time we can set up an appointment and go through all the tests and samples they gotten from and speak on the next moves. I felt like it was pointless to lay in the hospital and watch cartoons if I was never going to see the cardiovascular doctor and they weren’t going to tell me what’s going on. It was one nurse who was really nice and it was because of her I was able to eat so that’s why I gave a 2/5. I appreciate that nurse.

I arrive September 8 with a bunch of anxiety. I was supposed to have surgery done that morning. I had to get an IV. The first round of IVs heard it like hell. Then the lifesaver Tracy Booker walked in the room and took all my pain away and re-inserted the IV and now I can move my arms. I have no pain. I have no anxiety and I just met my angel for the day. Thank you Tracy Booker. Rn

If it were possible to leave a review with zero stars, this review would contain ZERO. Never clean and trash everywhere (photos of cafeteria, but there’s trash just left other places with what appears to be NO attempts to clean up for long periods of time). Not to mention the night staff steal anything that’s not tied down… Honest to God, if you want any kind of treatment go elsewhere— and I mean ANYWHERE else!
