This dentist did not take my concerns seriously. I accidentally scratched my front tooth and have been pretty distraught about it the past day. I wanted a limited exam with tooth polishing to help smooth it over. I can physically see the superficial scratching on the tooth surface with light, etc. They didn’t use magnification specs (or really look for more than about two seconds) before saying there was nothing they could do to help me (because she didn’t notice anything wrong with my tooth). Believe me, I appreciate being conservative with my teeth, but I just wanted to have a simple polish to regain that mirror finish. Instead I was berated and told “while I’d love to take your money, go see your regular cosmetic dentist on Jan. 3rd”. I was looking for a new dentist on this side of town, but will absolutely not be returning.

From the moment Stephanie (front office) greeted me with a genuine smile, I knew this wasn't going to be a typical dental visit. I've always had a touch of dental anxiety, but Dr. Malik and Jenn (Hygienist) didn't just address my teeth; they addressed my fears. They explained every step with patience and empathy, transforming what I anticipated as a stressful experience into a surprisingly calming one. From my very first consultation, Dr. Malik personally got involved from customizing technology specific tools (e.g., intraoral scanner, digital X-rays) to showing me exactly what was happening with my gums, teeth and overall oral health, explaining the findings in a way I could easily understand. For subsequent visits, the level of visual detail was astounding - earning my trust to transfer my whole family's oral care needs to renton dental studio. I especially appreciated the clear breakdown of treatment options and costs tailored for each of my family member, with no pressure or hidden fees. The team's commitment to patient education is truly remarkable. Beyond the impressive tech, the office is immaculate, and the staff is incredibly efficient. If you're a tech-savvy individual who values clarity and precision, Renton Dental Studio is a must-try.

Yes i enjoyed the teeth cleaning they did a thorough job. I will be seeing you on my next cleaning. Thank you for doing it for a reasonable price the filling is fine. Thanks for doing it so quickly it was such a nice day I was anxious to get outside. See you in august Have a good day Lance

My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance so I googled a dentist with good reviews on Google and came across Ken Kay DDS. I called their number and explained the reason why I'm switching my dentist and told the lady making a reservation for me that I already took x-rays with my previous dentist so another x-rays won't be covered by my insurance this year. She said "I understand. X-rays is covered only once a year" and asked my previous dentist's name and phone number. I provided such information and she said "Thank you. I will contact them and get the X-rays transferred. It's a common practice". When I visited them, they started taking about 20 x-rays using a very old articulating x-ray machine (vs. my previous dentist took x-rays using a panoramic machine) and I thought they had a special reason for taking another x-rays even though they got my x-rays transferred from my previous dentist. (By the way, their teeth cleaning was super painful done in rush, compared to other services I took for the past 30 years.) After about 2 weeks, I got a bill from them and charged me $132 for a regular clean-up work stating "They did not cover your x-rays." I was disappointed because I was told that they would transfer x-rays from my previous dentist and so I sent an email saying I was disappointed and what they did was unprofessional. Dr. N Malik responded to my email and it was ridiculously rude. Here is the portion that made me to decide to leave a review on Google: " If your previous dentist took X-rays which are less than 6 months old than it is YOUR responsibility to provide them to us before your dental appointment as there is no way for us to know about any communication, you had with them. Your previous dentist is a separate entity to us. " Dr. N Malik, it is YOUR (let me repeat, YOUR) responsibility to train your staff better so YOUR customers are not misinformed and they do what they said they would. And, you also said, "Ultimately it is responsibility for any charges your insurance declines to cover for your dental treatment.". No worries, Dr. N Malik, I never mentioned that I wouldn't pay the bill in my email and I will DO pay the exact amount and you will get every single penny. You should be super happy because that's all you care. YOU should know what information YOUR staff provide to YOUR customers. Very unorganized team and a super arrogant & rude doctor.
