Finally had a wonderful experience. After visiting 3 other locations. Tip Top Tailors definitely needs to retrain their staff especially on customer service. Thank you Ray for the phenomenal service you made our shopping experience worth it.

Honestly, our trip to this store was so brief there isn’t much to write as a review. With the minutes we were in the store browsing for a specific coloured suit, tie and pocket square we could hear the staff animatedly chatting, laughing with one another and talking about past customers like we weren’t even present. We weren’t greeted when we walked in, never once did someone come to check in on us as we were comparing different shades of ties or trying to find a proper pocket square to fit the event we were shopping for. As we left the staff continued to chat and walk about, only once glancing in our direction before we stepped out. We were hoping to make a big purchase and unfortunately we felt unwelcome the moment we stepped in and didn’t find what we were looking for.

I purchased numerous ties and pocket squares for my wedding here. I needed 7 of one colour, and they would only sell me 6 due to not being able to sell the display tie. There were 4 of the same colour on display and the employee refused to sell one. Ended up going elsewhere, weirdest “company policy” I have ever seen.

I’ve had the worst experience with your manager at the Pickering town center location. I went in and purchased a suit for a wedding party, the colour was discontinued (2 weeks after the wedding party was created by the groom) so I had to get whatever sizes were available which meant going up to a tall in the jacket and up sizes in pants as it was the last available option and pay for these alterations (Terrible business practice but not what made me angry) The associate that helped me was informed that I knew exactly the alterations I want done and he wrote them down and told me when the seamstress is back she will complete my ticket and I can just pay on pickup. After the call today May 15th (9 days after my suit is delivered) the manager informed me they haven’t started my order, they can’t start until payment for the alterations is done and the best he can do is get me to physically come in, get adjusted by seamstress and wait for her to finish in approx 2 hours total. I live in Toronto, the store is in Pickering (1 hour drive each way). The only reason I shipped directly to them was for the seamstress to handle the alterations so I can pick up the completed product in one shot. I knew the exact alterations I wanted and listed them as the associate wrote them down. Shorten coat sleeve 1.5 inches and shorten pant leg out seam to 40 inches. The manager essentially called me a liar as I didn’t have the physical alteration ticket, the associate failed to inform me correctly on their procedure or I would’ve paid upfront, and the manager refused to help. Additionally the pants arrived on May 6th and he told me they’re not there… Incompetent individual.
