Linda is an amazing dog trainer and a truly caring person. She spoke to me on the phone at length before I got my puppy and really calmed my nerves. Her training is tailored to your needs and wants and is done with sensitivity, creativity, and positivity. I took one of her puppy classes which I found extremely helpful. I really enjoyed working with Linda and highly recommend her!

(My dog and) I have been working with Linda for nearly the past year. My dog was a rescue with severe fear & anxiety (towards everything, you name it!) and Linda came highly recommended by many in my area. She set us on the right path, teaching me to learn his signals and how to slowly introduce him to the world around him. My new favorite pastime is figuring out what I can teach him to do with a clicker! In addition to her work with us during sessions, Linda is always very responsive to my detailed emails (seriously, they can go on for pages and pages!) which is a huge comfort knowing she is always there when needed. She even walked over one afternoon just after a blizzard last winter, after I emailed her in a panic that I couldn't get my dog's collar back on upon returning from the groomer! There are very few people that my dog will accept outside of his original pack, and Linda is one of them! And anyone who's ok in his book, is ok in mine! :)

Shortly after adopting my now 10 year-old Boxer/Pittie mix from a crowded public shelter I contacted Linda at Positive Canine Training to help Benny start his new life off on the right paw. Having met Benny while volunteering, I knew he was a good dog - Linda helped make him a great dog. We now have wonderful, miles-long walks every day without Benny dragging me down the street. His anxiety over my occasional absences is nearly gone after Linda gave me the tools to help manage his fears, behavior and emotions. And to my delight, Benny is now comfortable in the company of other dogs, which gives us a lot more freedom to arrange dog play dates and vary his daily routine. Most of all, Benny is a more balanced and happy dog. Thanks to Linda he has acclimated quickly and successfully to his new life after showing signs of serious deterioration while at the shelter. Professionally, I work with hundreds of shelters, rescues, and adopters around the country and appreciate the value of good, positive training. I recommend Linda and Positive Canine Training without reservation; if there were more than five stars available I would give them all!

I first contacted Linda a few months after I adopted my good buddy Artie. He had bad separation anxiety due to the pandemic lockdown. I couldn't even turn the door handle without him starting to worry. It became a hinderance on my daily living, a 15 min errand became a thing I had to plan to have a sitter or I couldn't go. I hung up from the first call with Linda relieved. She immediately understood the situation and reassured me that it was common, especially at that time during the pandemic, and that in a few months he could learn to be relaxed when alone. I was suspicious of the timeframe, i expected it to be a long and difficult process. She was so right that I wish I could think of a stronger way to say it. This week, Artie graduated from separation anxiety and can be alone with no problems. Linda helped us so much along the way. She came up with a plan specific to him, paid attention to things that triggered him, and would tweak our training as it went along to react. When our original training plan wasn't working as we had hoped, she scrapped it and came up with a completely new one. She really understands the different ways that dogs think, She's in tune with indicators of stress and helped me learn what look for and how to determine the severity of the stress indicator. During our time together she also gave me great tips in other areas too, a majorly helpful one was what to do when he starts barking at he neighbors or other dogs. I know its cliché but 5 stars really isn't enough. Linda is so knowledgeable, understanding, accommodating, and friendly, as well as insightful into the mind of a dog. I can't recommend PCT strongly enough Relevant photo is Artie, relaxing alone in the house without a care given
