Pretty decent store. Great staff but there’s definitely not enough games. There are more merch and toys/figures than games. They don’t take or sell any retro games like Wii from when I went to the Oshawa location and their items are pricey for the most part. I did find a nice refurbished Xbox one controller but still it was $50.

GameStop Ajax!!! Excellent customer service! Polite, friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me getting the Pokemon cards I was looking for! I felt bad of taking extra of their time to help me!!! I Highly recommend anyone who's looking for collector cards to go to this store. Their customer service is unparalleled! Lots of free parking.

Went to this Game Stop location around 11am today, June29. There was a “soft spoken” employee working the till. She had served 6 customers before we ended up lining up to pay for the game we wanted. All this time, she has been asking customers if they have a membership. There were no indication that there was a system problem. By the time it’s our turn, I gave her the phone number associated with the membership account and apparently the system is down. She asked me if there was any other information I can provide aside from the phone number…she quickly then laughs indicating would not have made any difference if the system is not responding. She gave me two options, either she hold the game for me to come back another time when the membership system is working (which god knows when that will be) or pay for the retail price! I asked her to try it again AND SHE FLAT OUT REFUSE!!! Even though she appears soft spoken, SHE HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ETIQUETTE!!! She gave me an excuse how the last time it had taken 3 hours before the system comes up and she insisted I pay full price now if I want the game. I told her to serve other customers to see if the membership system refreshes itself. She served a couple of customers and she flat out told the customer how the membership system is not working but she’d be happy to try for them…. she went on and on with the conversation with the customer laughing on how it would only be a couple of dollars savings (implying not worth the trouble) since the membership system still not working at that time when she offered to try it for THAT customer. So we walked out and went to the Game Stop location at Pickering Mall…where the employees are super friendly and proactive. They let me know in advance how the membership system is not working when searching a phone number BUT if I had the card for them to scan, it definitely works. So I had my husband take a picture and text it to me…the employee was able to scan to apply my membership…., and oh, I SAVED $11.00 and NOT $2 as the girl at this Durham Centre indicated. YOU SHOULD really train your employees to provide customer service!! It’s a shame that your employee at this store believes that the membership is not worth it! SHAME!!
