Went here for a Friday date night! Great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food. We had beef bourguignon, mushroom soup, French onion soup, and a side salad. It was delicious. The absolute star was that French onion soup worth going there just for that! Added edit…we stayed for dessert and cappuccino this entire meal was wonderful.

Awesome French Bistro right in the heart of Old Town FoCo! Beautiful ambiance and very nice subtle music... the French Onion soup was fabulous, same with their coffee drinks. I was just dropping by before a movie, but will definitely be back French Dip, sreak frites and minus sells soon. Brynn is a fabulous server.

No wait. Food was amazing! The bread starter was fresh and warm. Try the tart jam with the beignet!! I got the eggs Benedict with the soup and it was creamy and perfect. My boyfriend got potatoes, and I regret it. Not getting them because they were so delicious!

Last Friday, January 16, 2026, was our second visit to Philippe, both times for our anniversary. As with our first visit, this was a 5-star experience. We had the Friday special, cassoulet de canard confit, to which we added the brie en croûte and crêpe au nutella. My wife had the kir royale, and I had a very nice malbec. Everything was cooked and served to perfection. I love that the atmosphere is casual, while the culinary standards are exceptional. We've got to come here more often than once a year!
