Took my schnauzer to get a typical schnauzer cut. To my surprise when I picked him up his hair was botched. Particularly his face. There was no blending done on his beard. It was VERY choppy; as if someone used kitchen scissors instead of grooming shears. I am very dissatisfied and will not be returning to that location for grooming. I paid $80 for my dog to look worse than he did when I brought him in. 0/10 I do not recommend.

Please please don’t ever go to this location to get your dogs groomed. The groomers here have no idea how to actually cut a dog’s hair. I told them exactly how I wanted my Mini Schnauzer’s cut and they managed to mess it tremendously. Here’s a picture of my baby before and after coming here. I asked for a LITTLE emphasize on the LITTLE off her coat, and they shaved her down. My baby didn’t have any matting for them to shave her down. Smh pet smart, get better groomers. This is ridiculous. This is the third time this has happened to me and my babies, I kept changing their groomer thinking that was the problem but unfortunately it’s the whole grooming department at this Petsmart. Do better Petsmart, this was supposed to be a schnauzer cut what the heck did I get back.

I’m only giving one star when they really deserve zero. But management was very nice. But I took my dog for a grooming to this location due to the one near me being booked. His appointment was 9:30am. They had my dog until 12pm. Toye Wright, groomed my dog and had him looking crazy. I have had my dog for 8 years and NEVER has he been stressed, he was drooling excessively, nails were NOT cut, private area was NOT cut, legs weren’t trimmed and he had a mane that was NOT asked for. I told them to cut him down to a #5 which is a little longer than the #7 I usually do. I paid extra money for the new “luxury” service and have NOTHING to show for it, no pumpkin shampoo and no bandana. Management did refund my money, which I am really happy about, so my issue is not with them. What makes things worse, I had tipped Toye prior to me seeing my dog since they were very busy and I just wanted to get my dog and go. I requested my money back and Toye declined it. I only noticed how bad his cut was when I walked out. But since Toye said my dog was stressed the whole time and drooling, I didn’t want to take him back inside. I will be talking to corporate about my experience. I had to take my dog to the Petsmart in Laurel, so that they can better assist my dog! Even the worker at that location was confused on Toye’s “work”. I will NEVER go back to the Petsmart in Silver Spring and I will make sure EVERY one knows not to have Toye Wright touch or even look at their pet!
