Not even sure where to begin. My family and I have been patients of Martindale Dental since 2017. We’ve never had an issue up until my son’s surgery in the fall of 2024. My husband and I both had insurance at the time of the procedure and we knew that almost the entire procedure would be covered; as we had a similar procedure done on my daughter not long before. Anyways, the procedure was done, my insurance was billed followed by his as usual. Just before Christmas of the same year my insurance was removed, the receptionist was made aware of this and appointments were made to have spacers put in my sons mouth, which was recommended after surgery since teeth were removed. No big deal ! Or so I thought. Months and months went by and in the early summer of 2025 I was made aware of a balance on our account. I asked for a print out of the insurance payments and what was billed etc, I then lined it up with what was paid out by our insurances and found SIGNIFICANT discrepancies; missing payments that insurance paid the office not taken off our overall bill, our insurance not being billed at all, dates not lining up ie procedure date and bill date differ and being double charged at time to name a few issues. When this was brought to their attention reception / billing insisted I was wrong. I went in to show them my detailed notes including insurance payments to back up their errors and they owned up … then to turn around weeks later and retract this. Regardless in the end there idea of ‘fixing’ this was to take off $350 from the bill leaving my family with $890 owing. I attempted to work with them and once again explain the errors. Everytime they insisted I was wrong. My daughter needed dental work done, so I was desperate to remedy the situation since I liked the dentist there and had a relationship with the dental office. In the end they cancelled her appointment after assuring me it was scheduled and not to be cancelled even though we did have a balance on the account. I lost my patience and took my child elsewhere. I cannot believe the lack of accountability the front desk staff have even after they are proven wrong. I will never be back and if anyone asks for recommendations I would never recommend this office. They need to get their billing figured out and asap. By the sounds of the comments it’s a reoccurring theme. In addition, I won’t be paying for fees that should not be there ! There reducing my bill was a red flag that they knew they were in the wrong. My advise, stay clear and save your $!
