Customer experiences
You don't come here for the atmosphere, but the food is fantastic. Had the lentil soup and it brought me back to my best friends Moroccan mother making soup for us when we were 6 years old. Felt very authentic. And the food came out pretty quickly. Friendly server as well.
The most important thing is the food and, sadly, there are just a lot better places. The baba g is recognizable from what you'd find other places, and not in a good way. I stopped eating about partway through. It was not enjoyable. It's pictured last. Overly sweet, odd flavors. Not good. The hummus was very bland, soupy, and also not enjoyable. First picture. The gyro sandwich was not great. It was, at best, average. The pita bread? Hard. Like when you let your pita bread expire and then try to toast it to save it. You can see the crust.
Take out ordered via the Kinzi website. Ordering online went smoothly and the order was ready in time. And the lamb gyro platter and chicken pie were both delicious. The grilled veggies and balsamic rice added to the filling meal. Would highly recommend this spot in Mission.
I was craving a Gyro, and this place came up. I didn’t think much of it at first, but I was compelled to leave a review. First off: I was kind of in a hurry, but had time to sit down and enjoy something, and was in and out in about 15 minutes. While the staff might not have the greatest grasp of conversational English, I was VERY well taken care of, and left a very happy guy. I had a lamb Gyro, which was perfectly seasoned and superbly cooked, and the portion size was on point for the price. It was crispy enough to have a nice crunch, but juicy, tender and bursting with flavor. The hummus was a hit too, along with their fresh pita. I had to ask for more pita, and got it complimentary. It was the perfect balance of price and portion so much, I got to take half home for lunch tomorrow. I’m very happy to have found this place because it seems sort of hidden amongst the other shops along Johnson Drive, but next time I’m in the area, this will be my go-to.
