We had a hard time deciding on where to grab breakfast while staying in Jasper, and settled on Papa George's Restaurant based on kids menu options. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, but we were not given any kids menus for our children. Our waitress then did not return and was busy chatting with the other staff. As I looked around the restaurant, there were only 3 other tables seated, two of which we're finishing their meals and one of which was waiting on their server. I asked if they had been waiting long and they said they were ready to leave, which is the point we were now at as well. Luckily the waitress returned and attended to both our tables. The service was definitely better after this point. We all enjoyed our breakfasts, and the kids devoured theirs. My wife and I were surprised at the portions for the kids meals given the pricing, so definitely worthwhile. The hash browns were delicious as was the bacon with was perfectly crispy. We'd return again and hope the service is a bit more attentive especially when guests are first seated.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting George himself, along with his lovely family. From the moment we walked through the door, we were welcomed like old friends. The staff radiated kindness and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. Now, the food… wow! Every dish was bursting with flavor, made from the freshest local ingredients. The menu is creative yet comforting – a perfect reflection of the love and care that goes into every plate. If you find yourself in Jasper, do yourself a favor and stop by Papa George’s. Say hello to George, enjoy the warm, small-town atmosphere, and treat yourself to a meal that’s as memorable as the people who serve it. Here’s to 100 more years of incredible food and heartfelt hospitality!

Top notch everything. Slightly disappointed that I got two pieces of bacon instead of three but they made up for it with phenomenal service and tasty everything. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious but beware if you are not into pulp; it’s chewy.

It’s generally okay, service was a bit iffy and my bratwurst was room temperature when they brought it back it still wasn’t great. But the food was really fast. If you are looking for an unpretentious breakfast in Jasper come here.
