Customer experiences
I am a disabled veteran. I submitted my info on the web form but heard nothing back for several months. My occupational therapist followed up with them a few times but was ignored. I had to email them from a different address to get a reply. Nearly a year later, they offered the intake call to determine my eligibility to start an application. When I pointed out the delay, the representative provided no explanation. By this time I had already decided to rescue a dog, and I’m so grateful I did. It is concerning though that there is no oversight here, which allows for the possibility of blatant discrimination with zero accountability.
PADS ,Pacific Assistance Dogs is a nonprofit volunteer driven that helps disabled people to have better lives by training and raising service animals .I was able to submit an application for a service animal in around 24 months I received a service animal that helps me walk , pick up items for me ,helps me open and close doors, take off socks and my jacket. My service dog has made my life a million times better.
They do amazing and important work. It was a privilege to be able to come by and volunteer some time to do some cleaning. Organizations like these need our support. The value that an assistance dog can provide someone who needs one is immeasurable.
