I hit up Organic Roots Eco Salon in Skokie for a haircut and color, dropped about $150 total. The vibe is chill and the staff's friendly, which I appreciated. I was drawn to their eco-friendly approach, using organic products and sustainable practices. However, the color didn't quite turn out as expected—it was a bit off from what I had in mind. Also, scheduling felt a bit tight; I had to wait a while for an appointment. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're into natural products, but I was hoping for a bit more bang for my buck.

I had a great experience at Organic Roots. My regular hairdresser wasn't available so finding this salon was serendipitous. Since I'm outside all the time, my hair was brassy and had grown out. Stephanie skillfully returned my color to normal and gave me a super layered cut. I already booked my next appointment.
