One Eyed Jack Pub and Grill is one of the bars I like in Oshawa, whether I’m looking to grab a drink or enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is always lively, with a younger crowd compared to other bars in the area, which gives it a fun vibe. The food and service are both good with the usual pub fare, and they do it well. The only downside is that the vegetarian menu is a bit limited, so if you’re vegetarian, your options might feel a little restricted. That said, the food I’ve had has always been tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s a solid place to hang out with friends, enjoy some drinks, and have a good meal.

Oshawa was a stopover to break up the long drive home from Quebec. As usual we relied on the experiences of others and chose One Eyed Jack for dinner. She had a shrimp Thai salad which was beautiful and delicious. Very fresh ingredients, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I had the brisket mac and cheese. Delicious, moist, tender braised brisket on top of a big bowl of mac and cheese, with a slice of crispy, tasty garlic bread. The noodles were nicely al dente and while the cheese flavor was great, I wanted it to be a little more ooey gooey if that makes sense. Great pub atmosphere, nice patio, and they had a pretty raucous trivia game going with a very energetic and fun hostess. A great local hangout.

This is our my Friday night date spot. Lots of variety in the menu. Also always daily specials. The wings are great. Also the smash burgers! Good variety of beer on tap. Some local stuff as well. Parking can tight, but circle around to the back for more spots.

Great spot if you’re looking for a decently priced steak. I ordered a strip loin. I’d suggest ordering it medium-rare or medium. One Eyed Jack also has plenty of drink options, and offers some good wines that are worth pairing with the steaks. There are plenty of other great options too! Our waitress was sweet, offering warm and helpful service. The atmosphere is that of a classic pub, with TVs at the tables.
