The food was well-prepared, nicely presented, and of good quality, though the delivery was on the slower side. Still, for a special occasion like Christmas Eve, the effort in the presentation made it worth the wait. The staff, while polite enough, didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic or engaged. It felt like they were just going through the motions, which took away from the otherwise good vibe of the place. One thing to watch out for is the additional charges. The prices seemed fair at first glance, but there were some hidden charges added to the bill, which left a sour note at the end of the meal. Transparency here could definitely be improved. Overall, I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a nice place to try, and I would recommend it for the food and ambiance. However, I’m not sure I’d return personally. If you’re looking for somewhere to dine in Bristol, The Botanist is worth a visit, but just keep an eye on the bill.

The atmosphere was perfect, while it had ambient lighting, above our table there was a spotlight which was perfect for my grandmother. Overall a very nice experience.
Gunel APerfect spot for a quiet evening! The atmosphere was cozy and quiet, with only a few people. The music set the mood beautifully and the waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and came in generous portions — I tried the linguine with seafood and lamb, both of which were absolutely amazing (pictured). Highly recommend!
