I have never felt this disrespected in a clothing store before. I went to Oakridge Fashions in Aurora around 5pm today for the very first time, and the experience was absolutely unpleasant. The moment we walked in, there was no greeting, no welcome — just a cold stare from the lady at the counter, who looked me up and down as if judging me. Barely a couple of minutes after entering, without even asking what I was looking for, she walked straight up to me and said, “I don’t think there’s anything you can buy here.” I was honestly shocked. When I asked what she meant, she replied, “I mean size.” Excuse me? Who says that to a customer — especially someone who hasn’t even started shopping yet? I didn’t ask for her opinion, and it’s certainly not written on my face what I’m looking for. The level of judgment and rudeness was unreal. I’ve never been made to feel so unwelcome and insulted in a store. Definitely never going back, and I hope others think twice before stepping into such a disrespectful and unprofessional place and definitely hoping the management takes this as feedback on how not to treat potential customers.

My friend and I visited the store last Monday for the first time with the anticipation of finding several unique pieces and having a wonderful shopping experience. As soon as we walked in I did NOT have that "nice to see you","welcome to our store","how can I help you" feel. My friend and I drove in morning traffic over 40 minutes each (we drove separately) to specifically go to this store. I was very quickly put off but thought just look around and maybe the service will improve. Well, unfortunately it didn't. We were the only 2 customers for quite a while then maybe 2 others had come and go during the hour and a half that we were there. My friend and I did pull many pieces to try on..for me at least 10 to 15. If I wanted to see if another size was available I had to look around several minutes to find the lady working there, and then wait for her to look it up on a computer. There were never any comments on how I looked in any clothing or suggestions on another product, etc and the same for my friend as well. At one time my friend asked for another size and was told "I am busy". The sales lady was busy putting away the clothing we did not want. We thought that maybe she is informed to do this so products are back in their place quickly...but shouldn't assisting customers come first? We did find some items to purchase and my friend in particular spent quite a bit of money. However we will not return. We did not feel special or important ; sometimes I even felt that I was inconviencing the sales lady to help me. I asked about getting the larger size in a couple of tops and was told that it would be a special order making it a final sale and shipping costs would also be added. I was suprised about this policy as other stores we shopped at are much more accommodating. I truly believe that better training of sales staff would be beneficial at this store. The sales lady was friendly when we cashed out but I felt that I was not seen the whole time I was there. So very unfortunate to have this experience. Barb

If you’re looking for something different they have beautiful quality clothing for women . Staff is very helpful and courteous . Make sure you try on everything before you buy as they have an unfriendly returns policy . 7 days for exchange or credit . NO REFUNDS. I would have given them 5 stars if it weren’t for their returns policy .
