My husbands life was saved in this hospital! They have outstanding specialists on sight and there nurses, nursing assistants, cleaning personnel, cafeteria workers ultrasound tech, to the employees who carted my husband to different scans etc. were wonderfully professional with kindness and sensitivity and sometimes humor. The fore mentioned kept me going and strong. We had people from all over the world praying for my husband and medical staff that God would guide them in saving his life and He did. Thank you to each and everyone of you. You cared for and nursed my husband as well as myself through the emotional and physical trial that he/we went through. You were all the best. Take pride and Joy in knowing that you are priceless in whatever field you serve others, each of you is required and needed for such a time as this. May God bless you all and keep you safe and strong. We also had our three babies in this hospital 28-34 year ago My father-in-law was on staff as OB/Gyn for over 30 years Now it is where my husbands life was saved. Thank you all!

My sweet grandpa was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer about 8 weeks ago. He passed on 9/11, not at Norton, but when he was at Norton…Dr. Shawn Glisson was the oncologist that treated my grandpa. When my grandma who has been with my grandpa for 66 years asked Dr Glisson how much time he thought he had, his direct response was “if I knew that I’d be walking around on Wall Street, not here.” My grandpa asked the doctor “What’s the point of doing chemo?” Dr. Glisson’s response was “what’s the point of having breakfast in the morning!?” I wish I could make a review for the nurses separately, they were absolutely wonderful in every way. Wish I could say the same for the Oncologist that was assigned to us. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

Terrible hospital! Saw an orthopedist who looked 15. He was going to double screw my hip replacement after I told him of my hip replacement dislocations. The doctor's assistant who examined me didn't look at my feet when I said my feet were cold. The elevator broke The parking is impossible. When I requested an over the phone exam, it was denied. I had a heart exam with no reviews of findings. I thought all the employees were rude. Basically my overall impression of this hospital reflects my overall impression of all Louisville: the place is toxic.

Entire nursing staff was exceptional. Bravo stands out above the crowd as the immaculate professional. Always willing to go the extra mile. The care team with Dr Shields, was excellent and anesthesia was wonderfully competent. All in all, it was a very good visit and if I ever have surgery in the future I plan to return to Norton.

Norton Hospital is a general hospital.
