My mother was in the ER today at noon waiting to be seen for nausea and diarrhea when she arrived there were only about 4 people in the waiting room and she ended up coming home because she couldn’t take it feeling that ill and waiting over 7 hours in a waiting room. The 2 women at the ER check in were also unfriendly, refused to help or answer her questions when she asked about the wait time their response and I quote “We don’t have wait times “. Please if you’re in southern Indiana go to Baptist Floyd this hospital is terrible and the doctors, nurses and staff truly do not care.

I was admitted to Clark Memorial Hospital on 28 August 2025. I was sick for 4 days before my family called for an ambulance. Don't want to discuss my mistreatment in the ER. However, what a change when I arrived on the 3rd floor SE. Excellent health care a few names are Gina, Darrell Brian and Shanie. Nurses who care about their patients. I was admitted with CHF and Pneumonia. I ended up in the lab to do a stress test on my heart. A sweet lady named Macie kept me from having a panic attack. Thanks to her addressing all my fears and putting me at ease. Then I have to say I spent most of my time with two amazing nursing assistants. They took care of all my needs. The ladies are Carly Sanders and Lacy. Two very hard working ladies who walked into my room everyday wearing a smile. A special thank you too these ladies who do their job because they enjoy it.

While the nurse and physician who treated me were very kind, I have some concerns about patient privacy. I visited the emergency department after a car accident. I was quickly taken back and placed in a bay where each bed was separated by curtains. However, the patients could choose whether to close their curtains, and any patient beside me could hear my personal health information. When I was being taken to x-ray, the said patients saw me and overheard my personal health information. If I had to choose an emergency room again, I wouldn’t return to this one. I would go to Baptist Floyd, where I would be in a room instead of being separated by curtains.

The nursing staff and M.D. were very informative and communicated in a manor with compassion with me in regards to my elderly mother's visit to the ER. The timeline upon arrival to being admitted to the floor was over five hours, which wasn't pleasant.
