Customer experiences
My family and I went here on a hot and sunny day due to not knowing what to do. We have agreed that it really isn’t a functioning mall because half of it is vacant and waiting for a new business. Things that are open are a claire’s, lego store, two playgrounds, a neeman marcus, and more. As i mentioned, there’s two playgrounds for kids- one shaped as a tree and another made by the Children’s Museum. For food, it’s pretty ironic that it’s called “Northbrook Court” with no food court in site. As far as i saw, there were two italian restaurants and a California Pizza. If you really just want to walk and chill with a couple people in sight or let your kids run around, it’s really nice to come here.
I never spent a great deal of time here, but was shocked to see how many vacancies there are here now. Following in the footsteps of other nearby malls like Hawthorne, Lincolnwood, and Golf Mill is this one. Still anchoring the mall are Neiman Marcus and the AMC theatre with primarily high end shops like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and other expensive shops I'd never shop at within. There are some smaller shops like the Apple and Lego stores and Claire's, with Auntie Anne's for snacks. No food court here, nor are there any coffee shops. The upper level is primarily vacant except in the vicinity of the theater. The mall itself is clean and ready to host a few dozen new shops. The unfortunate side is the fact that malls like this just dont make it work in this day and age. Dark days ahead for Northbrook Court unless management can successfully recreate interest with a relaunch a few years from now.
Unfortunately, as malls go- this place is really struggling. You can tell because many of the shops have closed. There are a few nice things for kids though like two free play areas. One play area is on the second floor and the tree house play area is on the first floor by the AMC. It’s still a fun time if you like to have a big open space with not many people around. It looks like they’re doing some construction around the mall, hopefully some better plans for the future to bring it back to life :)
Mostly a the stores in the mall gets opened only after 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM It is large Spacious mall but mostly many shopping outlets are closed permanently. Dogs are allowed into this mall.... 3 to 4 restuarants are also available inside the mall Huge parking space available all around the mall Lot of options for kids to play here....Kids play zone is specially designed and tree house and some other play area is also available here for free of cost
Northbrook Court is a shopping mall.
