We had Glad construction complete several home remodel projects in several phases over the course of three months. We are happy with their work. They turned a closet into a combo bathroom and laundry room. They completely redid our master bathroom, including building out walls, redoing plumbing and electric, and updating all the finishes, including a new vanity. They changed our old water heaters into tankless water heaters (which we love). They converted our old laundry hallway into a mud room (knocked out a wall for this one). Lastly, they built out a small office into the living room space (one of us works from home part of the time). We are so happy with the finished results! There were challenges along the way, as is the case with any construction project in a 30+ year old home. Glad construction worked with us to make sure that everyone was satisfied with the solutions and quality of work. The quality of the work done is top notch. They had to redo a tiled wall to ensure that it was finished to a high standard. But they repurchased the necessary materials on their own dime and we are happy with the outcome. There was some delay due to home Depot sending us the incorrect items, twice, but that's on us for ordering through them. 😆 Even though the work was not completed within the original time estimate, we're ok with that because we altered details. Some of the delay was also due to our family travels. The four star rating is because there were some challenges among the company with communication. This caused a couple setbacks. There were also some employees who were unable to keep up with their work load. However, the owner has let go of the employees who were underqualified and unable to improve. He has now hired employees who have been thoroughly vetted as experienced and skilled tradespeople. With this change, I'm sure the communication issues we faced will no longer be an issue. We are planning on using Glad construction for future projects and would definitely recommend them to others.
