Customer experiences
Made a pho lover of my husband. He had always declared that he hates pho. I told him, "perhaps it's just that you don't like bad pho from shifty strip center restaurants serving questionable meat." Tonight as I watched him clean a bowl of pho I had my "I told you so" moment. This place converted him. As we sat there eating the best Vietnamese meal we've ever had we were planning trips to Hanoi and cruises of Southeast Asia. We found this place in the Michelin guide and the photos on their website won us over. We chose this to be our spot to have our anniversary dinner. There's nothing pretentious or uncomfortable about this place. It's relaxing atmosphere and lovely decor put you at ease. Service was excellent and as previously stated, the food was incredible. Everything was fresh, well balanced and just as it's name means, delicious! My husband may never eat pho again unless it is in Vietnam or this specific restaurant. Michelin, as always, steered us in the right direction for an unforgettable meal. The spring rolls had an incredible texture of chewy, crunchy and soft. Flavors were a perfect blend of savory and sweet in every bite. I only wish I'd asked for more sauce as that peanut sauce was devine. The pho was so good. That broth was healing and reminded me of something a grandmother would have made with pride. The lavender tea was delightful. It wasn't too floral and was light and refreshing. The coconut water was lightly sweet and hydrating. The coffee with egg cream gave this luscious floating layer of custardy cream that you could eat with a spoon. I thought I'd be overwhelmed by the sweetness but the bitterness of the strong coffee offset the fluffy mouse like layer perfectly. To top it all off this meal was extremely reasonably priced. Seldom will you find a meal that gives this level of quality for such a modest price. Please go and enjoy a meal at this establishment. I promise you'll not regret it.
I was immediately greeted by one of the servers and he got me seated. I had the Bun Bo hue, shrimp spring rolls and lychee martini (happy hour special). Everything was tasty. It was my first time eating here. I would come back and try more items on the menu.
Great all around experience. Pho was on point with flavor of broth and quality of meat. Spring rolls had a nice crunch inside which was a refreshing texture in the bite. It's a bit on the higher cost end for Pho, but it is definitely worth it if you're okay with paying a little more.
Food was delicious, a clearly deserved Michelin recommendation. It was the first time I tried Vietnamese food and it was full of flavor, but nothing risky. The beverages were also a nice surprise, specially the mocktales. Highly recommended if you want to eat good food, you are very hungry and want to have a quiet night with a few friends.
