My husband and I had been saving for our home to be remodeled for many years. Last year we decided to remodel our Master bedroom and bath, as well as another bath and sewing room. We researched online reviews of local businesses and liked what we read about New Prairie Construction Company. The remodel began last March, and we were immediately impressed by their commitment to customer service. Plastic zippered protection to confine workplace dust and debris as well as flooring protection from the entryway door was greatly appreciated. They work in conjunction with several superior local services (plumbing, electrical, etc.) as well as materials suppliers, making our selection process seamless. Being retired, I was able to witness the remodel on a daily basis. All of the New Prairie employees were a pleasure to work with and provided professional expertise and pride in their workmanship. Our remodel turned out to be more beautiful than I had even dreamed. We are so pleased with that outcome, that we are currently planning more work with New Prairie Construction Company. Over the last 25 years I have had the pleasure of trusting New Prairie Construction Company with several home projects -- large and small, indoors and outdoors -- and I am a very satisfy customer. Mark and his crew always go a step beyond to make sure the work is done to the highest standards, with minimum interference and impact on the rest of the house. They contribute valuable suggestions while planning as well as knowledgeable solutions to any problems that may arise during the process. They are a pleasure to work with. A partial list of projects I've had done to my 1960-era home by the New Prairie Construction Company is: remodeling the original kitchen, remodeling the original master bathroom, additional attic insulation, repairs to a garden tool shed and patio bench, rewiring of and replacement of living and dining room lighting, repair of a leaky chimney, installation of a safety railing on my front steps, modification of a wall unit to fit a larger TV, and new caning on some old chairs. New Prairie remodeled our kitchen and it turned out beautifully. I just love it! We had a complete overhaul done (taking out part of a wall, replacing all the appliances and cabinets etc.), and they also helped with the design process. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The workers were beyond professional and reliable. After having them in our home for almost three months, we kind of miss having them around. Their attention to detail was extremely meticulous and they often had higher standards than even we did. If you are willing to pay for top notch craftsmanship, this company is the way to go.

We have just completed a kitchen and laundry room remodel. We asked to merge the old with the new which New Prairie was willing to do (this saved us some money but presented a few unexpected challenges). We were very impressed by the care with which the crew treated our home. They zipper-locked the kitchen so dust/dirt from the demolition did not permeate any of the rest of the house (this is a huge plus if you have ever done a remodel). They did all the usual good things, but went beyond the expected at every turn. Some aspects took longer than anticipated due to COVID delays, but they kept us updated on when to expect the next phase to begin. Their subcontractors are better than I would have found on my own. They were responsive and willing to educate us about the idiosyncrasies of our wiring and plumbing. The work is topnotch and beautifully finished. We love the new kitchen and appreciate the suggestions for minor changes that were made along the way that make it better than we originally imagined. This is a five-star construction team. Laura was team lead for our project, and Eric was the scheduler. We had the most dealings with the two of them and they were both excellent in the guidance they provided and in the work that they did. We couldn't have asked for a more professional or caring team. Thanks to New Prairie for a great job!
