Ruzbin Martinez and New Era Paving & Excavating did a fantastic job on our driveway from initial preparation and application of the binder (base) to the finished product. Because our home was still under construction and the landscaping and hardscape were not completed when the binder coat was installed we ended up waiting almost 3 years just using the binder coat. It was so well done that we probably could have just kept using it instead of having the finish coat. However we just had the finish coat applied today and it looks fantastic. The entire New Era crew were professional, efficient, and extremely neat while installing the finish coat. They took the time to properly clean the grass at the edges of the binder coat as well as a few areas that were damaged by the heavy equipment used in finishing the landscaping and the building. I highly recommend New Era, Ruzbin, and his crew for new or replacement driveways and I would also use him for any other services he provides! You will certainly find both lower and higher pricing for the same job but trust me when I say this - you will not receive a better product or better service!

Late last year, I requested a quote from New Era after seeing them work on another driveway in my area. I watched over time as I saw quality work. I had called another company and was displeased that they weren’t going to do any real grading and fix drainage issues. Our driveway would need to be started from scratch as it wasn’t done when the house was built and only regrinds were placed. As a result, the driveway constantly washed away. It was a hazard. If you didn’t have all wheel/4x4, you were struggling to make it up our hill. When Ruzbin came out to quote, he said all of the right things about drainage and grading. Although he was slightly more expensive than the other quote, he was going to be doing the work the right way so we went with him. Our driveway is a shared driveway and is very long. He worked with our neighbor as well. When we signed the contracts we knew we needed the driveway done as soon as possible because of its condition. Well he pulled through and got us done early in the season! It rained after they were grading and before paving and he came over to make sure it was draining correctly. They came back and refined it some more. Then we went on vacation for a week while they paved. He came back after it was paved and it rained so he could make sure it was still working and it was! He was thorough and thoughtful. In addition, during grading, it was discovered that the previous owners had laid the groundwork for the driveway but just never finished it. So he was able to fill in areas that needed it and where we expanded and saved us a lot of money. So he was honest too! Thank you Ruzbin! Our driveway is amazing!

For us work ethic and completing the job on time and with an amazing product is the most important. New ERA took our crappy builders driveway and made it a great place for kids to play sports. 10:10 would recommend them to anyone and as a realtor will use them every time I’m asked for a referral.
