I recently contacted Nessie's with an idea to put together a curated hamper of treats, goodies, and nostalgia triggers for my dad's birthday. The owner, Jane, replied promptly and while being totally open to hearing my narrative/theme/hopes for what I wanted in the hamper, she also made some other suggestions in keeping with my vision which I would not have otherwise thought of - a couple of those turning out to be real hits with my dad! The process of choosing items, discussing budget, and arranging for delivery was efficient, friendly, fully transparent, and incredibly professional. Jane not only put together a really exciting and fun hamper, to brief, but she also encouraged me to hand-write a message which she then printed off and added to a card to accompany the gift. She also delivered this hamper/gift exactly when she said she would - to the minute - which, for my military father, was impressive. I would totally suggest that anyone looking to curate a personalized gift of UK and British treats should contact Nessie's first. Absolutely. Thank you, Jane, for all your help. My dad was thrilled and is still enjoying everything.

Always a great place to get your British Treats. But now with Christmas they have those yummy chocolate treats we all remember.as children. The staff are helpful and friendly all year long.

I love all the british foods and was on vacation this week in cobourg ontario. My wife and i went for a town walk and i was so excited to see this store was open. I love ginger snap cookies so we went in wearing masks and following rules of course. Great store and items and i found my cookies, pricey at 4.00 but worth it by all means.we approached cash and lady was very dry and not very friendly .we said thankyou and have a a great day being polite and respectful. As we get to door i said it again then finally i hear after second time of saying goodbye enjoy your day and thankyou i hear softly from her " you too " !!!! Not friendly at all and wont be back. I realize its a pandemic and people are totally depressed etc but if you cant be polite to the few customers that are supporting your business then close!!!!! Sorry but im out in public to support small businesses to help them out and it wouldnt hurt to be half descent to people!!!

I have visited this store several times. The first time was shortly after it opened to pick up some eccles cakes for a British friend who was unable to get there herself. I love oatcakes and along with them I've discovered all sorts of food items I am unable to get anywhere else.

Nessie's British Shop is a gift shop.
