My husband was brought here for emergency spinal surgery. Everything was stellar with 2 small exceptions. Dr Cuillfo the neurosurgeon was an absolute butcher, with the bedside manner of a angle grinder. He 100% bullied my husband into a surgery while refusing to allow my husband a second opnion. Then his pharmacist who did meds was just as a callous. The nurse has asked if my husband could have meds at which point within earshot of my husband and others gives his unprofessional personal opnion with flat out fabrication. "He refuses all traditional treatment and only wants more narcotics and opiates". He walk in and my husband flat out dismissed him (Noel)? And told him he heard everything. He also informed him that at my husband's direction he requested that he wanted iv narcotics be discontinued, an oral narcotic be discontinued and pushes his med to.6 hour intervals rather than 4. The only increase in meds came from "noel" at the objections of my husband. The neurosurgeon left my husband for close to a week and never followed up until pushed, and even then gaslight my husband saying he should have been walking out the door the next day after a discectomy. Other than that everything was amazing. Thank-you to the compassionate nurses and hospitialist Drs who without them, my husband would be miserable. DR Ciffulo and his team WILL NOT PRESCRIBE PAIN MEDS OUTSIDE OF OTC products and totally disregard all your feelings.

I was transferred from Cadillac to Traverse City. I was very sick. I spent 10 days there. I had the best care ever in a hospital. The staff from the specialist to the transporter were amazing. Very kind and professional. I was treated with such dignity and respect. I never want to go anywhere else. Extremely impressed with all I’ve seen at TC hospital. The bed side manor, the care provided emotionally physically and mentally the attentiveness to patience and the support they offer to family their compassion and understanding . I admired the interaction between staff as well as their interactions with my son. Staff is very knowledgeable . I highly recommend TC Munson hospital for anyone needing care. I’d rate a 5 for review but there’s always room for improvement no matter the field. I rate a 4+. I cannot thank the surgical team the nurses the doctors I cannot thank them enough. We came for a broken femur and collar bone. I can’t say I’ve had this experience before but TC has the most INCREDIBLY AMAZING medical care and amazing nurses and doctors we are so relieved and grateful for the help and support from everyone here. THANK YOU all for being who you are for serving others with such compassion in your hearts. We cannot thank you enough.

For the most part, the staff is awesome. But I was out in a hot room for days and was forced to beg the doctor to take a shower because my nurse didn't want to have to change all 5 or 6 heart monitor stickers. I had to beg for a nicotine patch twice. 1 12hr patch every 24 hours don't work well. Then I was put back on a med that causes me intense pain, just to see if it did it again. Ambulance brought me to the hospital after 4 small heart attacks and in congestive heart failure.Was forced to walk 3 miles back to my car after signing out ama because I refuse to be treated like a guinea pig or a lab rat. I will die in a gutter before I walk through their doors again.
