Customer experiences
I’ve been a Movati member for a while now, and I’ve always appreciated the quality of their facilities, but my recent visit to the Windsor location made me like Movati even more. The first thing I noticed is that this location feels spacious and open — in fact, it looked bigger than the Movati locations I usually visit in Ottawa. The layout is impressive and makes it easy to move around without feeling crowded, even when it’s busy. The pool at this Windsor location is definitely larger, which was a big plus for me. It’s well-maintained, clean, and provides plenty of room to swim comfortably. For anyone who enjoys aquatic workouts or just relaxing by the pool, this facility really stands out. Another highlight was the front desk staff. From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. Their customer service was excellent, and it set a positive tone for my entire visit. They take pride in making members feel comfortable and valued. I also couldn’t help but notice how clean the facility was. Every area I used — from the gym floor to the pool to the locker rooms — was well-kept and spotless. Cleanliness is so important in a fitness club, and Movati Windsor is doing a fantastic job in this regard. Overall, I was extremely impressed with this location. Movati has always been a favorite of mine, but the Windsor club exceeded my expectations in terms of size, amenities, service, and cleanliness. I really enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend this location to anyone in the Windsor area looking for a top-notch fitness facility.
I’ve been a member of Movati since 2021, and over the years I’ve gotten to know so many staff members who make it genuinely enjoyable to show up. But the real game changer for me has been Reformer Pilates. I started Pilates this past summer, and it has not only boosted my strength training tremendously, but it’s also been amazing for my mind. There are days I can’t make it to the gym, but I always try my best to attend Reformer. It aligns me with my fitness journey and keeps me grounded. The team truly makes the price and time worth it. My instructor, Marina, has been incredible. I’m so grateful she’s my first Reformer instructor (and hopefully the one I’ll continue with for as long as I can!). She’s attentive, supportive, and always makes sure to track my progress, which I really appreciate. The smaller class sizes make it easier to trust the process and know they’re focused on helping you grow. If you’re thinking of joining Movati, or you’re already a member, I highly recommend trying Pilates or booking a demo class. It really proves that health is wealth. And honestly, why spend close to the same amount elsewhere when you can do Pilates and have access to the entire gym? Coming from someone who was strictly a strength-training girly… Pilates has become the highlight of my week and such an amazing addition to my split. I’ve also seen my fastest and most noticeable results since starting!
I’ve been a loyal Movati member for years, and I used to attend two to three classes every single day. This year, I’m down to maybe two or three classes a week, and it’s honestly because the class schedule and overall structure have declined significantly. Movati used to have an amazing, balanced class lineup. Now the schedule feels inconsistent and poorly planned. Yoga classes now include sculpting with weights, which completely changes the purpose of yoga. TRX classes, which used to be one of my favourites, are being mixed with random cardio components, and the quality just isn’t the same. The way classes are being designed, scheduled, and overseen has definitely changed—and not for the better. The new process has taken a lot of enjoyment out of the experience. Many instructors don’t seem aligned with the level of fitness and instruction Movati used to be known for, and overall leadership in scheduling/hiring really needs improvement. It feels like the gym is moving away from what members actually want. I’ve always loved Movati and recommended it to so many people, but unless the class structure and scheduling process go back to the old standard, I honestly don’t feel the same motivation to attend anymore. The potential is still there—but the current direction is disappointing.
Awesome gym I love it but it looses one stars for the hours of operation. Lots of people work at 6am so why not open at 4am instead of 5am. Plus closed at 8pm on weekends sucks so much. I came twice now thinking I’m going to have a great workout to realize it’s Saturday or Sunday and they’re closed already or in a little bit. Besides that I love the gym. Lots of great people there to workout. Great staff, clean facilities, awesome pool and steam room. Sauna could be turned up about 10-20f hotter but the steam room makes up for it. Awesome showers and amazing classes. Just the hours can use some adjusting. Especially going into the winter months.
