Allisonville Dental Centre has felt like my second home! I transitioned into the care of Dr. Major-Banks and Mr. Banks after receiving a large unexpected bill for dental services as a young adult. I was completely blindsided by this bill while working on my first full-time job. Because of this, I knew I needed a dentist that was able to clearly and directly explain procedures that would be necessary for my oral health, associated costs, along with patience and compassion to create a personalized care plan for me. When I transitioned into the care of Allisonville Dental Centre, Dr. Major-Banks sat down with me to review my pertinent medical history, noting things that could potentially affect my dental care. This was the first time a dentist had ever done that! I was advised that certain types of anesthesia were not to be used with a lifelong medical condition I have. This small detail made a world of a difference in my ability to trust she had my best interest at heart, and gave the me confidence to follow her lead with instructions to carry out in between routine visits. The team at Allisonville Dental Centre has been nothing less than a breath of fresh air for over the last decade. I can’t imagine trusting my teeth and oral health to anyone else but them. Without their guidance, kindness, and daily commitment to serving patients that look like me, I’m certain others would like me would go without the care they deserve. To Mr. Banks, Dr. Major-Banks, and the entire team: thank you for your commitment to over 35 years of serving the greater Indianapolis community! I look forward to all that is to come from your legacy, and I greatly appreciate the honor of calling Allisonville Dental Centre home!

The owner at this location was extremely rude because it’s taken them over a week to verify my insurance and when I tell him I located other dentist that’s found my insurance and can get me in . He gonna say we’ll go to them … then I called to speak with the office manager he says I’m him and I said well who’s over you he gonna say I’m the owner .. idk if he is or not but he was rude as hell and I wouldn’t chose this office if it was the last one on earth . They suck and he does too. 1.21.2025 Following up with Dr Major Banks this morning after seeing my email and my review. She called me back and I began to explain why I felt how I did with the interaction with her staff . After I told her that she mentioned this review and why I gave them a 1 star . She acted as if she wanted me to still be a patient but after I said my peace her attitude changed . I’ve never went to a dentist who took over a week and half to verify my insurance. Then when the Dr calls back and sided with the employee over the customer is crazy . I wasn’t disrespectful or rude I was very professional and transparent . Dr . major Banks wasn’t helpful either she never apologized for his behavior or how he handled this process . I’m glad I dodged a bullet I was I just trying to support a black lady dentist ….. Nope

I have heard WONDERFUL things about Allisonville Dental Centre and Dr. Banks and her husband Terry. Mainly regarding their care and treatment of elderly patients. Too many times this demographic is disrespected, invalidated, and given sub-par care & treatment. Dr. BANKS and staff have been giving excellent comprehensive care and compassion to not just their patients of a certain generation but ALL of their patients. They are a model of what exceptional medical care should be but also of what exceptional members of a community should be! Thank you for your graciousness to the older members of the community you serve. As we owe them a debt of gratitude and our respect and your practice is deserving of both as well.
