Monica is the wonderful women who contacted me promptly after I submitted a request online. She was very welcoming, informative, and had suggestions of who to try an appointment with first. Michelle is AMAZING!!!! I know I do the work but she makes it feel easy, fun, sometimes emotional, but always with love. I am sooooo happy that I found Michelle and plan to stay with her as long as needed .....or as long as she will have me ❤️ work is hard but this is easy. I am incredibly grateful for the support I received from my therapist, Byanca. I sought out therapy when I experienced an increase in anxiety, I didn’t know how to deal with anxiety on this level of intensity. Byanca helped me identify the ways I soothe myself and build on those to become more successful in grounding myself. I feel like she has taken the time to understand me as a person including my identity as nonbinary. Previously when I’ve gone to therapy I didn’t feel like real effort was made nor did I feel 100% comfortable. I did not feel that way here. I am BEYOND thankful for finding Mirador Counseling! I LOVE my therapist Najla! I have gone therapist to therapist for the last 5 years. I feel like I FINALLY found my person. I have felt safe, supported, not judged, encouraged, and motivated working with Najla! I remember when I first started therapy, I was like " what do you talk to someone about for an hour a week" but working with Najla, we have so much to talk about whether that's real life or we are giggling and being "girls" as I like to say. I used to get anxious going to therapy and now I am like - "I cannot wait to tell Najla". I feel motivated to make progress in life so I can go back to Najla and tell her about my wins of the week. She gets so proud and reminds me how when I first started working with her the things I am accomplishing now felt so impossible. I started working with Najla after my dad passed away. I was so lost, not sure who I was and scared of the world. I rarely left my house. Now I have a new job that I love, I hold a leadership role for an organization, and I am mentoring others! I am still dealing with grieve but it feels less heavy. I know who I am, what I stand for, and how to continue to make my dad proud even though he's no longer here. Anyways, I can rave about Mirador and Najla all day! Seriously thank you Mirado and Najla, my life has seriously improved since I started therapy here. I also truly appreciate the affordable payments plans so that I am able to afford access to therapy.
