I contacted Ace Handyman Services to install several (4) Bi Fold closet doors. I felt the price was a bit much for the job needed. My service Tech Danny Farmer installed the doors with time left to spare…he offered a bill reduction because it did not take the estimated 4 hours. I was so pleased with his work I told him I had another project and would rather pay the entire 4 hour rate. I needed my new laundry tub attached to the water supply. Very, very happy with the level of skills and the professionalism my technician displayed while on my job. Fair price for the work performed.

Update: After leaving a message and this review the owner of the Ace Hardware franchise reached out to us to make the situation right. They worked with our schedule to send out one of their supervisors. Evan arrived on time to correct the work on the shower. Evan did a great job and used higher quality quad brand caulk and also used grout to patch some of the missing areas left behind. He was apologetic to the work that was done previously and acknowledged the previous worker should not of left it the way it was. Had the job been done correctly the first time we would have given Ace Handyman a 4-5 star rating as the majority of their review suggests. However, due to our overall experience I would give them a 3-4 star rating. I would consider using this service again and would recommend them as long as the person they send is experienced in the task you are having them do and if you are able to be there to review the work and address any concerns with the craftsman before they leave. Concerning value if I were to grade the second attempt the price we paid would be fair as it took around 4 hours of their time, which included time spent going to get the correct materials. Overall the company did right by us but due to it taking a second visit it took more time to take care of the issue then originally anticipated. Original: We had Wes from Ace Handyman Service come out to re-caulk and repair grout in our shower. We had a family member at the house as we were both working so we’re not able to personally supervise or inspect the work as it happened. The quality of the work is extremely poor. At first review I thought maybe they had to reschedule as there was no improvement from how the shower was. Upon further inspection it looks like instead of repairing the grout Wes just caulked over any missing patches. In regards to replacing the existing caulk there are still mold stains and the caulk work performed is uneven and it does not appear the old caulk was removed. We are deeply dissatisfied with the service we received and were charged $335.00 for a $5 tube of Alex caulk and an hour and a half of handyman services. I would not recommend Ace Handyman and if you do choose to use them ensure you are personally able to supervise or inspect the work before payment.

I wanted to share my experience using Ace HandyMan Services. I received multiple proposals for a small project in our basement. We were looking to take down a wall and install a new one to expand a room. While Ace was priced higher than all of the proposals, they were also the most reliable on timing of completing the project. For that reason I was happy to pay the higher price. I was so impressed by the service we received and Zack L. did a great job on each step of the process. He was punctual, organized and even befriended our ridiculously large breed dog! I would recommend him and Ace for any project. While I have a few more jobs in mind for the Ace HandyMan services, I hope we can request Zack for the job!

I called in Ace to have an issue with my doorwall addressed. They sent Zach L. Who was super super nice and professional. While he could not resolve the issue, but he provided us with a workaround which will extend the life of the doorwall. Because the service was for a fixed two hours, he also installed a shut off valve for me and asked several times to see if there was anything else he could do. I can say with confidence if there's anything else I need done in the future, I will not hesitate to call Ace again and request Zach.
