Bought jewelery from this store as a gift for a family member. I knew the ring i was buying was a bit too big and was expressly told that I could come back within 30 days for a resize as long as it wasn't worn. My wife came back in a week and was gouged out of $70 by someone that upsold a care plan. Its not about $70, its about how you treat a customer that spent many thousands at your store and have in the past. Do better, you market yourself as an up market brand but cant keep your word. Got an apology at the front desk but no one is enabled to make a decision to fix it.

Big shame…. DO NOT TRUST MICHAEL HILL if they are telling you: You can exchange. Once you come back to return, they will use the microscope and tell you there are scratches, we can’t return. How can I make sure before purchasing that there are no scratches!!!! Shall I bring microscope with me to the store!!!

I just wanted to share about an experience I had at Mapleview. My husband and I have bought jewellery from this establishment over several years now. At our most recent visit, my husband purchased jewrllery for myself as well as our daughter. This purchase was not a small amount. My husband got my daughter a ring and told the sales rep that it would most drfinitely need to be made smaller. The sales rep promised my husband 30 days to get the ring resized and told him that they woukd waive the fee. When I took the ring in to get resized, the sales rep said that the resizing is never included in the price and that it would be $120 to get it resized lr $60 for a three year warranty which would in fact include the resizing. I chose the warranty. To my chagrin, my husband informed me that they had promised him this service. It is frustrating, and I hope that in the future, the sales reps can be clear and consistent in how they inform their customers.
