Over the years we’ve gone through countless colours and stages and he always delivers beautiful, high-quality results without compromising my hair’s health. Dory is a true colour specialist who understands exactly what works for your hair type. He’s honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about achieving the best outcome for your hair. I’ve followed Dory to a few salons throughout his career, but Michael’s Hair Body & Mind is by far one of the best I’ve ever visited. Their customer service consistently goes above and beyond, everyone is always so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Lina, the salon owner, is such a lovely person and always greets you with a warm smile and open arms. I highly recommend this salon and the talented team behind it. It’s rare to find such a perfect mix of expertise, care, and hospitality all in one place!

I went to this salon to get my roots touched up and a balayage. The root touch-up was fine, but the balayage — which was the main reason I booked, especially before my vacation — was a disaster. I had originally spoken with Sue, the senior stylist, and she told me she could do it. I sent her videos of my hair in natural light and the exact color I wanted, and she confirmed it was possible. Unfortunately, she wasn’t available, so I was booked with Natalia instead. Natalia told me she couldn’t do the ash blonde balayage I wanted because of my box-dyed hair, and said the only option was caramel. I agreed to that, showed her a picture of the placement I wanted, and trusted her to deliver. But she didn’t even bother to test a strand first. What she did isn’t balayage, it isn’t highlights, and it isn’t even visible color. She just dyed a few random pieces hidden inside my hair, with no placement, no purpose, and no style. At the salon, under their lights, it looked acceptable. But once I got home, the true result showed: a deep ash brown with a greenish tint that does absolutely nothing for my hair or my face. Mm When I said it just looked brown, she brushed me off with, “If you wear it half-up, half-down, you’ll see some color.” I don’t wear my hair that way, and I didn’t spend $233 for color hidden inside my hair that only shows under certain lighting or styles. Since I live too far to go back, they refunded me $113 out of $233 — which doesn’t solve anything, because I still have to pay full price somewhere else to fix it. This was my one chance this year to refresh my hair before vacation, and instead I was left with hidden, greenish color inside my hair that doesn’t resemble balayage in the slightest. Natalia was polite, but she didn’t listen, didn’t test properly, and didn’t deliver what she promised. Compared to the clear communication I had with Sue, this experience was careless, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing. Inspiration picture beneath, ridiculous!

I have been getting my hair done by Sue for over two years now and drive one hour each time. She fixed my hair something noone else could do! I have never been so complimented on my hair. She fixed the color and taught me how to take care of my curls. Aside from the fact everyone is so friendly and sweet. Nice environment to be in!! Highly recommend.

Nicole was amazing. I went for a wash and dry and I love my hair. She was very knowledgeable with products that would be good for my hair and scalp. And she did it in a timely manner, I left earlier than I thought with Victoria Secret’s model hair! Fresh, flowy and flirty! Thanks! 😊
