If you're tired of an oversaturated market of contractors and you want to work with someone who just "gets it" and knows there stuff without any BS, I highly recommend Meraki Contracting. Here's why: I recently worked with Meraki Contracting on a major project. I had a bad, bad tenant, $50K worth of damage, a previous contractor who bailed because it was too much for him and through searching another contractor, I found Ian from Meraki Contracting. Not only did he do the job required, it was done in 6 weeks, done on extremely short notice (accepted the job with a few days' notice), had solid staff, affordable pricing, and really good quality of the job. My house is 3 floors, finished basement, and over 2000 sq ft, and EVERY room/area and square inch needed renovating - it was that bad. Ian's a good communicator and for someone who overcommunicates like me, it was a breath of fresh air. Ian also takes the time to educate you which makes the process better as I can make a faster, quality decisions. If I had found Ian at the initial start of my contractor search, I'd have all this done so much sooner than previously scoped thus saving me time and money - it's very fair to say Meraki Contracting will save your time, money, and energy. I can't stress enough how much I would recommend Meraki Contracting as your next contractor in Saskatoon. There's so many of them that think they're contractors and they're not... almost to the point it's ridiculous at how much incompetence and disappointment there can be in that field (same goes for Saskatoon Real Estate agents but that's another story). Go with these guys, don't waste your time and energy searching, give these guys a call first. I promise you, and take it from me, as your situation cannot get worse than what I went through with my tenant - it will be your last call you have to make! Meraki all the way!

We worked with Meraki to renovate our kitchen, which included the removal of a wall and tying in the changes to the rest of the main floor (replacement of all of the flooring, paint and scraping and replacement of ceiling stipple throughout the main floor). They were very responsive to our requests and did an amazing job on our project. As expected with an older house, we ran into a few glitches along the way. Ian was quick to provide us with alternatives and kept the project moving along. We would highly recommend Meraki and use them again.

Meraki Contracting completed our 2450 sqft walkout bungalow custom home build in 2022. They walked us through the entire project outline and all the trades before we broke ground. We had frequent contact with Ian (one of the owners) during the entire construction. He was very responsive to general questions, and the various requests we made for changes during the build while explaining the impacts those changes may have on schedule and budget. It felt like a customer first relationship and our requests were not burdens. Timelines were clearly laid out for us on when to have decisions made by and any owner supplied items (specific plumbing and electrical fixtures, vanities, mirrors, etc.) on site as we selected a lot on our own. This was the first Meraki Contracting custom home build but it is obvious Ian and Dean have been building homes for a long time. They managed the trades well, handled problems that arose, and knew when to contact us for input. They completed some of the smaller, in-between trade work, as well as our interior stair railing. Their craftsmanship is excellent. We are very happy with the finished house and highly recommend Meraki Contracting as a home builder.

Meraki Contracting are very experienced, straight forward and hard working. They did our patio this summer and while they weren't the lowest quote, there were no hidden costs. They also worked through the insane heat wave this summer and had our project finished ahead of schedule. They were on site most days, and if there was a day when they weren't coming in, or when a subcontractor was coming, they always communicated those things to us so we could plan accordingly. They finished way faster than we thought possible, so that we were able to get a lot of use out of the new space this year already. Our yard looked awful, and we never used it. Now it's beautiful, low maintenance, and safe for our toddler. Can't recommend Meraki Contracting highly enough. We'll definitely be hiring them again for future house renos!
