Absolutely horrified at my experience today. Went in and expected to have an amazing experience since this was my first time visiting Connecticut but was sadly disappointed. Every single person had an attitude and almost gave the vibe that they felt “better than me”. Tried to enjoy a drink with an ocean view within their dining room but they were apparently “slammed” earlier in the day (maybe 6 people total) and wouldn’t allow us to sit because they had to set up for “dinner service”. We spent an hour trying to not vomit over the worst martini we’ve ever had while not a single person was clearing the dining room they needed to “set up”. Why we werent able to sit for half an hour in a room that wasnt being used nor being “set up” as they said they needed to blows our minds. Instead we were able to see the empty room from their lounge area whilst trying to scarf down a drink that in all honesty cant be messed up… but they still succeeded at that. The grounds are beautiful but thats maybe all they got. Steer clear especially of the bartender Nina for her horrible hospitality and personality. Felt incredibly disrespected by her especially since we received a drink in a chipped glass and she simply poured said drink in a new glass instead of making a new one. Hopefully she can learn to better service to guests in the future because she obviously needs it. She also did not give an itemized receipt and when asking the “manager” if tip was included she had no clue and honestly seemed like she was hired that same day. Very sketchy and honestly disgusting, despicable, and traumatic. Get well soon Ocean House

We had an absolutely lovely stay for 2 nights in early September. We booked a large king bedroom with a balcony and I cannot recommend having an ocean view enough, as this was such a pleasant space for us. Room amenities are excellent with snacks available in room and reusable water bottles gifted to you on arrival. This resort is iconic and well deserving of all accolades. The staff was kind and attentive with excellent housekeeping services. The location is of course absolutely beautiful with stunning grounds and facilities everywhere. We loved our beach experience with great service at our beach chairs. We dined in the Bistro and the Verandeh and enjoyed our meals here. I do think the service was slow at the Bistro which may be fine if just adults are dining, but we had our 10 month old daughter with us which made it a bit difficult. I think the mindset of slowing down for meals is lovely, just difficult with young children. My only two complaints are that the spa, while beautiful with a lovely relaxation room, was a fairly underwhelming service experience and probably has room for improvement. Perhaps I am just particular about my massages but this one was not really worth the price. Additionally, the rooms feature keurig coffee which is my least preferred option for in room coffee. I did express these in my post stay survey and hope Ocean House will consider improvements in the future. All in all, you will not be disappointed in your stay here. It is far quieter than many other coastal resorts in this region and certainly was the most luxurious experience of all the New England resorts we have visited!

Fantastic place, great food, great service. BUT, went for Brunch, which was fantastic. Atmosphere, service, view and service was 5 star. I can say that I love Relaix's and have been to more than a few. So, we are leaving, after dropping about $750.00 for 4 for brunch. I am totally satisfied until I am informed by the valet that I now owe $5.00 for the parking. Ok, that threw me for a total loop. I would have had no problem if you threw a parking charge on my Brunch tab, but to now tell me I owe you $5.00 for the required valet? Sorry I am so disappointed that you are that broke. Call me when you are above negative cash flow, I would love to come back.

We heard a lot about the extraordinary brunch from the locals in Narragansett. It's a way for regular folk to access this property which is otherwise out of most people's reach at about $1000 per night - that's the basic room. ||For nearly $100 per person for breakfast, I recommend you get 2 proper meals elsewhere. Yes, the surroundings are nice, but otherwise the food is incredibly mediocre while the service is fair. We were seated, not in the main dining room, but in a Members area that was empty and not connected conveniently to the place where the buffet was located. Although it was presented as an upgrade, it really did feel like a downgrade. It could have been because there were a big function the day before, and maybe the hotel guests and regulars were given preference, but I suppose my point is that I shouldn't be wondering about this. I've been to a lot of fine dining establishments in my time, so you kinda know where you're at when you get the table by the kitchen or restrooms. We did, in fact, have easy access to the rest rooms in the hallway that led back to the lobby and actual dining room. ||It's a nice place, don't get me wrong, but I doubt we will ever go back.
